Comfort Inn LBV $29/night- released through 2/28/10!

Is this hotel safe? Clean? Does it fit 5 in a room? Thanks all

The hotel is in a safe area. Past Downtown Disney is Route 535 which has a lot of restaurants. Right at Olive Garden is Palm Parkway, it is just down it a little.

Not sure about sleeping 5, their number is 800-999-7300.

I almost booked this deal this fall.... so tempting. The link does say to book by Nov. 14th and not by the 16th, as OP stated... just an fyi

Good catch! Travelzoo.com says the 16th, but when you click on the link to Comfort Inn LBV it says the 14th. I just edited the original post.

Stayed there before in 2000... you can actually see Spaceship Earth from some of the rooms.

I was actually about to book this today for $59, glad I saw this.

This is the hotel we stay at everytime we visit Disney (4 times a year). You can usually get great prices on their rooms. The hotel has always been safe and clean, but I am really excited about the renovations. It was getting a little old looking. It is a gated hotel and you must show your pass to get in, I like that. It is very close to Downtown Disney, right outside the gateway to Hotel Plaza Blvd. For the price of $29 and with renovations it is great. I just booked 8 days!

Is it possible to walk to DTD? Also what restaurants (cheap, family type) ones are near by? I have never stayed off-site, and I do not think I will have a car rental...this is a tight budget trip.

I have stayed here with the kids and did not feel unsafe at any time. I like that there is a gate with a guard to enter the grounds. I don't know if the regular rooms will sleep five-may depend on the ages of the guests. The rooms are not huge and there is not much room for an inflatable bed. You can smoosh one in but not much room. They do have family rooms-you may want to check them out.

You can walk to DD but it is pretty far. I would not like to do it.

Thanks for posting. We booked 5 nights in December. :thumbsup2

By the way, I called reservations & they told me for the 5th guest you can request a rollaway.

Thank you SOOOO much for posting this deal!! I just booked it for our February trip. I was debating staying on Disney property (we always do) or saving some money by finding a reasonable off-site hotel. I got this hotel for 6 nights at the same price I'd pay for ONE night at a Disney resort. I know it won't be the same as being on property, but now I'm just dreaming about all of the things we can do with the money that we will save! :yay:

Could be a blonde moment, but why is that week in Jan. blacked out?

That was my question too.

I believe those days are not available in January because of the Martin Luther King holiday on the 18th! They could be booked already at that price!

It could be, though it is strange that they don't block out the 17th & 18th. The hotel could be booked though. Okay, enough theorizing...

:cool1: :dance3: :cheer2:

See you there! (Well, not really. We won't be there at the same time. But you know what I mean!) :goodvibes

What rooms?? I have stayed there many times and always have a parking lot view since I do not want to hear the traffic on I-4 and have never seen Space Ship Earth....:upsidedow

There are many restaurants nearby in walking distance. They have an Olive Garden, Pizza Hut, a chinese place, mexican place, Steak n Shake and much much more. It is possible to walk to DTD, but it would be quite a walk. I would think it is about 1/2 a mile to the entrance of Hotel Plaza Blvd. and that street is about a mile long before you reach DTD.

I am not positive but I think they do run a public bus down that street, it is something to check into. Also, I have never used the hotels bus to go to and from Disney so I can not tell you about them. I always see people waiting to get on, but we just drive ourselves each day.

I can tell you that for $29 a nite you really can not beat it.

Stayed here in 2007 with a friend who was a choice hotels employee, and he paid 39.00/night! This hotel is a great 3 star place and has free continental breakfast, and clean rooms. Didn't get a chance to try out the pool, but as we are going in January this time, not sure we'll go this time either.

Anyway, all that aside, I booked January 2-9 (7 nights) yesterday, and with tax and NO RESORT FEE, the total was $228.38!!!!! If I could stay the whole month of January, I would. :cool1:
No more free breakfasts... :sad2: They have done away with that since August of this year. They have done a complete renovation and may actually be changing their name to Clarion.. that is what one of the desk employees were telling me back in Sept. I have stayed there in Sept & Oct.. and had a renovated room each time. They did give coupons for the breakfast so you get it for something like $4. instead of $8 (ouch...).. but it is a full breakfast.. not like the free bar they had.

Ci-Ci's and Hooters too... they are basically next to the place when you head down Palm Parkway..

I just called the hotel about their rates from Dec. 25-Jan. 1 as it says on the travel zoo website that there are special holiday rates then with the travelzoo winter rate. The person I spoke to said those dates were blacked out of the discount. Travelzoo needs to change this- I emailed them.
You saved me a phone call. When I first got the email about this, I tried to book for 12/l27-1/3 and it said that the offer was not available. I did book for Feb though :goodvibes. Then tonight after reading it again, I figured I would call tomorrow to see what they said.
I already have it for 12/19-12/23 at $90 for the 4 nights :thumbsup2 That was a special they ran in July.. book the first night for 9.99 get the second for 35.99. I booked 2 ressies for 2 nights each.. $45 for each ressie...that is less than $25 per night...:cool1:

Has anyone paid the extra $10 to add the breakfast buffet (2 hot buffets for $10)? Is the breakfast any good? We usually go to a buffet for breakfast before heading to the parks, but if the one at the hotel is decent it might influence our decision to stay there rather than somewhere else. :)

I have not stayed here yet but reading reviews the breakfast gets a thumbs down for long waits and not very good food. It seems like the only bad thing about this place! So I will be eatting breakfast in the room with stuff I buy at the grocery store or stopping for something quick before heading to the parks.

What are your Feb dates? We're there Feb 15-21. Anyone going to be there at the same time?

You will be arriving just as we are leaving! We have 2/13 and 2/14 booked up. Then we head to Ft. Lauderdale for the rest of the week. I am doing this as a surprise side trip for DD's 13th birthday (her b-day is 2/14). The kids don't even know that we are going to Florida in February, let alone going to WDW!

Thanks to this deal we are staying for two nights instead of one.

Has anyone used the shuttle to the disney parks? We will have a car, but there might be a few days that we would rather not drive/pay to park. I don't want to end up stuck at a park though. It looks like the shuttle schedule is posted on the hotel web-site. There are not many late night trips back to the hotel. We like to take our time at park closing and I wouldn't want to have to feel rushed to make the last shuttle back to the hotel.
