The $29/night deal has been extended for Comfort Inn LBV through 2/28! Just booked 2 rooms for 2 nights before we check into Marriott Harbour Lake. There is no way I am using our hotel points when I can get this deal! I had trouble with the online booking yesterday, called the toll free number and they were helpful.

From TravelZoo.com

Stay at the Comfort Inn Lake Buena Vista, located near several Orlando theme parks, for $29 per night. Similar Orlando hotels cost $100 or more per night for this time period.

This special is valid for stays through February in a Semi Suite room, which includes a microwave, fridge and coffee maker. Add a breakfast buffet for two for $10 more.

Discounted rates for holiday stays Nov. 26-27 and Dec. 25 - Jan. 1 also are available by clicking on the link below.

Blackout Dates: Jan. 12-16

Book by Nov. 16 (NOTE!!! THE COMFORT INN LBV WEBSITE SAYS BOOK BY NOV 14TH, Travelzoo says the 16th. I am guessing the Comfort Inn's date of the 14th is the correct one!) Click here to book, or call 800-999-7300 and ask for the Travelzoo Winter Rate. Note: The online booking page also has an option to book the room with breakfast; if interested, click on that link.

About the Hotel: Comfort Inn Lake Buena Vista is minutes from Disney World, Universal Studios, Islands of Adventure and SeaWorld. The hotel offers free shuttle service to Disney, SeaWorld and the Universal Orlando theme parks. It also sells Disney tickets at its Guest Services Desk in the lobby.

Wow great deal. Thanks for posting. I skipped right by it on Travelzoo, but when I saw your post I had to check further. Very tempted to just book two rooms there for our stay and save myself $700.

Has anyone stayed here before? Wondering how much of the hotel will be renovated by February.

Thanks!

I haven't stayed here in years. Last time I booked it, I ended up cancelling (our flight was booked for day after Sept 11th). From what I have read lately everyone has been happy, no frills, new rooms... great deals and clean.

This is also a great deal since you can cancel. Last week bookit.com had it for $39 and there was a $19.99 cancellation fee! This deal they just hold it with a card and there is a 24 cancellation notice.

We are going on Feb 26th, we arrive before noon so I hope that if we stop in early in the day we can get a renovated room and not facing I-4. But for this price I'll take what I can get!

Stayed here in 2007 with a friend who was a choice hotels employee, and he paid 39.00/night! This hotel is a great 3 star place and has free continental breakfast, and clean rooms. Didn't get a chance to try out the pool, but as we are going in January this time, not sure we'll go this time either.

Anyway, all that aside, I booked January 2-9 (7 nights) yesterday, and with tax and NO RESORT FEE, the total was $228.38!!!!! If I could stay the whole month of January, I would. :cool1:

I just called the hotel about their rates from Dec. 25-Jan. 1 as it says on the travel zoo website that there are special holiday rates then with the travelzoo winter rate. The person I spoke to said those dates were blacked out of the discount. Travelzoo needs to change this- I emailed them.

Thanks!!!

We may have some family overflow for the holidays and this is great!! We have a THV so perfect! I know exactly where it is and it is very close. No extra fees either!! Love the 24 hour cancel too and no credit card charge.:wizard:

For Dec 25-Jan 1 the price increases to $85.99 per night.

Thanks so much for this post- I have been checking rates almost every day and was worrying about what I might get on Priceline. Just can't beat this price, and although there were some negative reviews on Trip Advisor, it sounds like the place is convenient and clean. I'm spending a lot of money later in the week to stay on site at Universal and get front of the line, so this was a wonderful financial break.

We stay here most anytime we aren't on property.

We booked a one night stay for our Sep trip.

They were renovating rooms, putting in new furniture, bedding, etc.

Workers were doing drywall work and the like, so they are obviously trying to update things.

We have always been very happy with our rooms there. Fridge and MW are a nice plus. Rooms are about the size of Values at WDW and very comparable in all other ways.

If you're looking for a lot of frills and upper-end accomodations, don't go here.
It is a clean, comfortable, budget friendly hotel with a few nice amenities, but it isn't the Ritz.

For those of us looking for value and a clean place to lay our heads t night, this is a great place to stay.

Location is really good too because it is just off of Disney property (at the DTD end of the main drag).

There is a CiCi's pizza within walking distance of the hotel.

I couldn't help myself. I had to book it. Feb 15-21. 6 nights for 195.72 including taxes. Reservation agent said all the rooms should be completed by Dec. AWESOME! Thank you so much for posting this!

I just got on Disboards to post this deal...but of course someone beat me to it! (Because, as we all know :disrocks:)

I just booked 9 nights and am thrilled! In fact, this is a better deal than the original one I booked for October (decided to change our dates to January). We are now paying a grand total of $7 more for a stay that will be one day longer. :cool1:

This is also a great deal since you can cancel. Last week bookit.com had it for $39 and there was a $19.99 cancellation fee! This deal they just hold it with a card and there is a 24 cancellation notice.

Yes, I almost booked that bookit deal. There is not only a cancellation charge, but I was going to be charged more than $10 in bookit's fees. That 9-night total would have been $405....the travelzoo price I just booked, for the same dates, is $297. Wohoo!

(And FYI: I didn't have any trouble at all when I canceled our original October dates we booked through Travelzoo)

Happy Planning Everyone!

Thanks for the update on the renovation, I was going to give them a call soon!

We were there just last week for one night prior to checking in at our resort. We booked through the special on bookit.com. We were very impressed with the renovations. The mattress was a little too firm for my liking but it was no where near as hard as the ones at the Nick Hotel. Also, when my sister went to take a shower in her room, the entire shower head fell off leaving just the pipe:rotfl: We chalked that up to the new renovation. Also, the breakfast wasn't free as advertised but rather 50% off the rate. I guess it was more buy one get one free.

Thank you, thank you, thank you so much for posting this deal! All I need is one night and at this price I can't pass it up! Everyone have a gr-8 time!

Disboard rocks! I needed one night to pull up my little surprise one day trip for my daughter's 13th birthday. This price is amazing!

Could be a blonde moment, but why is that week in Jan. blacked out?

Is this hotel safe? Clean? Does it fit 5 in a room? Thanks all

I believe those days are not available in January because of the Martin Luther King holiday on the 18th! They could be booked already at that price! I have check other boards and haven't found any comments on the hotel rooms not being clean!
