DH and I stayed there for one night in March. Our flight got in late (midnight) and we wanted a cheap and clean hotel before we checked into DVC the next day. I think we got a special for $49 or $59 per night. I would not pay more than that. My perspective may be a bit off as we usually only stay WDW deluxe, DVC or Marriott caliber hotels when traveling across the country. We literally were only going to be in the room from about 1 AM to 7 AM before we had to head out to our niece's softball game at WWS which is why we wanted to go inexpensive. The room was clean and the beds were just OK. I was exhausted but had trouble sleeping. (Could have been because I knew I was getting up early.) The rooms were a bit worn. The biggest complaint was that the room smelled like someone had a party in it the night before and smoked about 100 packs of cigarettes. The room was labeled as non-smoking. I am a reformed smoker and so it really struck me as odd how much it bothered me because I have been around smoke many a times since I quit without this type of reaction. DH called me a smoking snob! LOL! Maybe the smell is what kept me awake. We were there during spring break and there were lots of kids/groups staying there who were still up and about the property when we were checking in and going to our room. I did not notice any noise once we were in our room.
I was acutally impressed with the continental breakfast for the price we paid for the room. It was your basics but was perfect for us. The oatmeal was very good. The breakfast was very, very busy, even at 7 AM.
My sister also stayed there and rented the kid's suite. I am not sure all of the kid's suites are set up the same way but this was my observation. The room was the same size as our regular hotel room. The only difference was that there was a wall/partition put up to separate the parent's bed from the kids. The beds were smaller than twins and appeared to be for smaller children. My nephew(17) is very thin but tall and he was curled up in the bed still asleep when I peaked in. I did not see the pool so I can't comment on that.
That is about all I can recall. We stayed at POP last year for one night pre a DVC stay. To compare the two, the size of the rooms are about the same. POP was defintely cleaner and not as worn. I hope this helps
