Comeing Down For Quick Visit

We will be comeing down tonite!!!!!!Staying at pop centruy for the weekend,Going to hit the house of the mouse on Sat.US/IOA on Sunday....I know they are calling for rain on Sunday Hope to see some of you there!!!!!I have to use my 2 park ap's !!!!! Thats my excuse and i'm sticking to it!!!!!!!!!!!

DaddyDon, I'm using the same excuse when I am down next month with my 4yo. Unless I get a good rate at Universal I will be staying at Pop Century for 7 nights.

When you get back please let me know how crowded Universal is on Sunday and when the crowds start to pick up. Also, how long the lines are at various times for all but Hulk, Dueling Dragons, and Dr Doom (my little guy isn't old enough for those).

Also, how long it takes to get from Pop Century to Universal and any room hints for Pop.

You don't mind doing a little research, right??? I guess I could have asked you first, but then you could have said no...

I will do what i can for u info wise,Its calling for rain Sunday,and my wife may balk at going to a park in the rain.......Yes i have a 6 yr old who was sick last trip at Christmas..... Wanted to hang with motherfletcher for a while But research is a good thing ,Info expands the mind!

Hi all!!!!, just a quick update!It was good to be in orlando for the holiday weekend! Rain and all.... It took me 22 min from pop century parking lot to IA/Us parking lot on sunday morning could have gotten there a little sooner but fog was terrible!!!!!For me to give you a honest break down of wait time would be quite decieving....As a 2 park ap holder we got to get 3 fast passes at a time,(just this month)So really my wait times were nilch!It was allmost as good as haveing a royal pacific id!!!!!The crowds were not that bad at all,we had a good time,my little one got sick again...pulled a linda blair on The tram leaving animal kingdom uckkkkk....only her head did not twist around Yea spidey hulk im comeing down again in aprail for a week!give me a shout maybe we can meet ! Room hints .....We stayed in the 50's building 2269 we had a pool view the bowling pin... It was the last building but you could see some of epcots fireworks at nite.The 60's building is much closer to the action but im not sure if it warrants a upgrade charge as its really not that long of a walk to the main building!Any other questions please ask ....

What is/was the deal with the 3 express passes at a time? We're 2 park AP people, but it wouldn't be the case in 3 weeks when we're there? Of course when I'm there I probably really won't need it, either.

Thanks for the times from Pop to Universal. How long does it take to get to the park gates from the time you pull into the parking garage? I know that I'm ever-analyzing everything , but I've heard horror stories about the parking garage and want to make sure that I'm leaving myself enough time.

Did the parks open at the posted opening time or a little early?

Sorry about your daughter getting sick. They seem to do that, don't they? I have 4 kids and I'm surprised that it doesn't happen more often to us. Leaving our Florida vacation last April 5 out of the 6 of us were sick. That was a major yuck and I felt bad for my 15yo daughter because we didn't stop for food all day (she didn't starve--we had snacks in the car with us). Wonderful memories were bring made. lol

What building did you stay at in Pop Century? How long of a walk was it to the bus stop/food court? How bad was the coffee? I'm going to buy and bring a little coffee maker so I can have my in-room coffee first thing without having to bring my son out too early.

You should have gotten a news letter in the mail from universal ,but it says its passholder appreciation days in January Jan 5-31...It took about 10 min to walk into the parks it could have been a little longer we were not in a big hurry....Please take your coffee maker with you !!! It will save time and money in the long run,We were in the 50's building room 2269 about a 5 min walk to the main pop centry building were its the hub of everthing pop!!!!!Yes the parks did open about 30 min early the day we visited..... Any thing else i can help you with please ask!
