Come with me on a Journey to a Far away place inhabited by Mythological Gods and Constellations. Through the Portals we go to an Epic Universe.

Those of you that are HHN fans know that the Universal creative team would not create a land like this without a story line behind this land.

So I went digging for the story line and I was rewarded with a story to enhance my journey in Dark Universe.

I watched the Universal podcast and looked up other details online and felt my experience would be fairly complete.

It was interesting to see the creators of Dark Universe Peter Carsillo Senior Creative Director and Fances Franceschi Senior production Designer on the podcast. They talked about the details and some of the story line that went into the land and it was wonderful.

One of the first things you see to the left is the Frankenstein Catacombs.

Get close to the gates and you can hear screaming and movement from beneath.

The graveyard is very detailed and looks like something strong escaped this secured grave.

The little girl concrete statue in the graveyard is a homage to the little girl Maria that befriended the Frankenstein Monster in the original 1931 film. They were throwing flowers in the water together by a lake and when the Monster ran out of flowers to throw in, he threw in Maria and she drowned.

The pool area is beautiful.

I’am sure you noted no one was at the pool…….One of the pool attendants told me everyone is at the parks and they have not had many at the pool yet. I told her not to worry they would find their way there soon.

I hope the information on the Helios Grand helps anyone who is planning a stay here. It is a well designed and thought out resort.

The resort is very easy to navigate.

I heard there were 3 laundry rooms available onsite, but I did not look for them. I will have see where they are located on my next trip.
Thanks for all the pics! We're going at the end of July and plan a pool day! Appreciate seeing it all. :)

Your welcome. You will love the resort. The pool looks awasome.

Darkmoor is what I'm most excited for as well. Love your report so far!
Thank you, sounds like we have another Universal Monster fan here. You will not be disappointed. It was beyond anything I could have expected.

Monday, May 4th continued

As you start to enter Darkmoor the wall is there still blocking the complete view of Darkmoor Village.
IMG_4423.jpeg

And when you round the corner you see a well in the center of Darkmoor village
IMG_4905.jpeg.

Under the village of Darkmoor are catacombs where the Vampires live. You can see the small sharp pikes around the top center of the Well. The sacrificial victims to the Vampires are impaled there and their life’s blood seeps down into the catacombs to give the vampires their needed sustenance to survive.

Then you see Frankenstein Manor……..WOW………as you can see It does have express and single rider. I utilized the single rider line several times.

What incredible attention to detail. I’am sure I was not the only one with my mouth hanging open in absotule awe of this sturcture.

The backstory on Frankenstein Manor.

Victoria Frankenstein has taken up the work of her Great-Great Grandfather Henry Frankenstein who in this version of the story created the Monster.

The purest know and I have to be reminded although as we pretty much all call the big green dude Frankenstein, The monster actually did not have a name. Therefore he was called Frankenstein’s Monster the name of his creator.

A little aside here I was wondering how Victoria was related to Victor Frankenstein and turns out she was his Great-Great-Great granddaughter. Of course in Mary Shelly’s book it was Victor who created the Monster.

Now on with it.

You think the outside of the Manor is awesome wait until you get inside.
IMG_4273.jpeg
There are stairs leading up to the second floor. There is an elevator provided straight back when you enter past the statue. A team member will direct you to the elevator if you need it.

Over the marbled fireplace is a picture of Henry and his bride Elizabeth.
IMG_4267.jpeg
If you remember Victor Frankenstein married his cousin Elizabeth and the monster strangled her on their wedding night in retaliation for Victor destroying the bride who had been created to be the monsters mate.

Henry Frankenstein’s Portrait as well as Victoria’s portrait.

IMG_4937.jpeg

There is a mix of Victoria’s more advanced testing creations and Henry’s old less advanced research tools on display as you weave through the manor.IMG_4939.jpeg
