Come to the Dark Side...We Have Cookies...(updates 4/3)

I MISSED YOUR BIRTHDAY!!:blush: I am sorry, HAPPY INCREDIBLY BELATED BIRTHDAY! pixiedust:pixiedust:

JJ got Mickey Mail today!! He was soooo excited he was bouncing up and down like Tigger.

I love how excited JJ was, that is so awesome! :thumbsup2 I love the pictures where it blurred because he was so excited, those are my favorite! :rotfl: He is such a character and his personality is so big you can still get a sense of it over the computer. When is his birthday? If he loves getting mail so much, I'd love to even send him just a letter or card.

Yesterday, JJ was such a stinker. He and his daddy had a birthday present for me sitting on the kitchen table since Tuesday morning. He taunted me all day yesterday that he knows what's in there but he won't tell me. He gave me clues. Said it was the Horton Hears a Who movie. Another time he told me it was jewelry to replace my broken Mickey earings. Then he told me it was something else. He called me mom and told her what it was, but then she taunted me too. They all know I HATE surprises. I'm so type A.

Jj even measured it for me.

After baseball practice I opened it. It was Dr. Who DVDs. Dr. Who...Horton Hears a Who. I can see how he got it confused. We watched one of the DVDs and while eating Chinese food. It was a great birthday and JJ declared it...you know it...the best day ever!

:rotfl2::rotfl2: I love how he gave you a hard time! That is too funny, he has a great sense of humor. I have not seen Dr Who myself but know lots of people who love it. I just have so many other TV shows I watch with my roommate we can't seem to find time to watch allllll the Dr. Who we would need to.

JJ was so nervous. He's so scared of the witch in the Wizard of Oz scene on the Great Movie Ride. By the time he was seated at the theater, he had himself so worked up that he got a bad case of the hiccups. He was so overstimulated and anxious.

I am so sorry JJ got so worked up about the movie, but I'm glad he was able to calm down enough to enjoy it. Over-stimulation does not help anxiety at all. :sad2: :grouphug::grouphug: for JJ and you dealing with all this anxiety and of course the seizures.

I loved all the pictures of the Oz gardens. We tried to go see it the day before it opened, then when we returned to Epcot later in the trip we passed over it. It is so gorgeous though, I really wish we had gone through it.

I pray that he stays seizure free.

Thank you so much. I appreciate the prayer. I'm sure the combination of the prayers and well wishes along with the proper medication combination are making a huge difference.

more great pictures! :thumbsup2 I HAVE to see that movie

Yes, you DO!! I think you will all love it.

I hope your able to. Would it be possible for someone to stay in line for you and JJ so he could see the show? I can understand why they don't allow the GAC for hings like celebrity events but it makes it very hard for the one's who really do need to use it.

OOPS! I forgot to take a picture of the plush. I'll have to do it tomorrow after I drop the kids off at school and make that stop at the post office.

Thank you! We can't wait!!! Now to pull down those suitcases and start packing!!

Yes and no. At some point they block traffic from being able to walk by. So if JJ and someone else was on the wrong side and not back in time, they wouldn't be able to get in. Also, the queue gets packed and it's too hard to get the w/c into the queue late. We did that last year for another show and got reprimanded by cms. All the people in line around us, knew about JJ and hollered back. The cms said that since nobody minds him jumping in queue it's ok that time. It really was quite a hassle. Made him feel like he was doing something wrong and he fretted about it the whole show.

Thanks for the birthday wishes. Not too late, we just celebrated with a birthday dinner at BOG on the 18th! Thanks for the b-day wishes!

His birthday is the end of next month. Thanks for the offer of a card. Since he can look at the computer now and isn't photosensitive presently, I know he would love to see some emoticons that move. He gets all excited when I type here because he sees them on the side moving. Just send a message on this thread, he'd love it.

The Oz area was very well done. I'm so glad they are keeping it up for the whole F&G Festival

Update coming in a bit. Just got more pictures up on photobucket.

love the entrance display this year!
cool a butterfly landed on JJ!

The pictures of the Flower & Garden Festival are so pretty! I miss seeing the festival. When the kids were in private school, they dismissed earlier and we were able to visit while the festival was going on. Then, if I'm not mistaken, they changed up the dates and we juuuuust missed it. I'll relive those memories through your pictures. :thumbsup2

I do too. Very appropriate to have the topiaries having a BBQ since they are mixing F&G with food. It was very cool. Unfortunately you can see his temporary tatoo. He smudged it as soon as he got it on. What you can't see is an Ewok from the game Ewok Village.

Thanks. Once Hunter is out of school maybe you can get back for it?

My parents are going to be in town next month. I'm hoping that one of our friends will be able to get them in a park. If not, they'll have to settle for Sea World or Busch Gardens. They kept their passes updated monthly for those parks. It will be great to see them. I haven't really seen my dad in 3 years. He was going in for brain surgery the first time I visited their house after his stroke. The 2nd time he ended up in the hospital during our visit. So I stayed with him in the ER and visited him in the hospital. Hopefully this time since he is traveling to us he will remain healthy and out of the hospital!

Love, love, love all of your pictures!!! So many favorites!! JJ did a fantastic job climbing all over the playground. He looks like he has grown several inches.

The butterfly garden is beautiful. Did JJ do okay with the butterflies? He's looking at the one on his arm like he is not too sure about it.

Beautiful, beautiful flowers. Shane works with a guy that worked in landscaping at WDW and it is amazing to hear how they operate getting the arrangements done, etc. Since landscaping is what Shane does - we always check out all the beds, etc. The "pot man" is too funny!! I need one for my garden. Plus love the windows with the flower boxes hanging from them. That is perfect!

Haven't gone to see Oz yet. Hope to make it by the weekend. Looks like JJ had fun at the games. Love the "old tyme" theme to them.

more great photos of all the prettiness at F&G

Disney does their gardens right. I have never been at a park that had bad landscaping.

::yes::

Michelle, the pictures are great!! I'm loving seeing JJ having a good time on the Oz playground. I wish they would keep a playground up for the kiddos all year, I know they probably couldn't afford to theme it all the time, but I bet it would get used a lot if they did have one.
JJ did so well climbing every where! :goodvibes He's such a little trooper, I love his determination to get where he's wanting to go. :thumbsup2

I have to say the ads have not convinced me I want to see Oz, but hearing you say you liked it has me rethinking my ways. Like Is said, it just didn't seem like that great of a movie from the ads. :confused3

Maybe you'll have to fill me in on it a bit more through a PM so as not to ruin it for everyone esle. :)

I admit, I have not been looking at too many of the F&G pictures posted here. I want it all to be a surprise for when I get there in May. :goodvibes

I am disappointed to hear they are not giving better serving sizes than they do at the Food and Wine, that has been one the selling points one of the directors there at Epcot has made that I liked about it. :rolleyes2 I was under the impression they were supposed to be bigger servings.

Thank you for sharing F&G with us! :)

I was going to tell you in a few weeks that I am going to be at WDW 4/15 - 26 and I was wondering if I would be seeing you in the parks. But after reading that, it sounds like I shouldn't be looking for you. But hey, it's great that you'll have some time with your folks.

I think Aurora's prince is Phillip not charming?

Love the pics. The Croc is my fave :goodvibes

Got it. I figured the crowds were crazy. Poor JJ!! I know he'll still have a great time no matter what he gets to see or do!!

Loved all the new pictures. My favorite would have to be the one of JJ with the butterfly. Also will have to show Jeremy the pictures of Captain Hook! He'll love them!

I know that you're getting excited knowing that your parents are coming for a visit. Praying that your dad stays healthy and no issues come up while they are there.

Again, I loved the latest F&G pictures. JJ is getting around on that playground like a champ!

How cool that a butterfly landed on JJ! :goodvibes Love all the pictures of the F & G festival, it was really nice to see it in person for the first time.

How's JJ been doing lately?

Thanks! I cannot begin to express how exciting it was to watch him balanace on those flowers. Being seizure free has allowed so much improvement to take place! He has grown since Christmas not sure how much though.

He did great with the butterflies this year. He wasn't scared of them at all. However, is was very fearful that people would touch their wings. He didn't want them hurt. The one on him was injured and he was concerned.

I didn't know that about Shane. Well F&G is the perfect time to check out the beds. I know it was cold when you were here. Did he get to examine the flower beds? How is his back doing?

I sure hope you get to see Oz this weekend. It's a very enjoyable movie. I'd like to see it again.

I sent you a text to see what you wanted to know about the movie, but didn't hear back from you.

I wish they would keep the playground up year round too!

He was very determined to play at the playground. He took his time, made sure his footing was secure, and was very careful. We also took note that he was aware of the other children. He was considerate of them and interacted with them which was another big improvement. In the past, he was oblivious to other children and just did his own thing.

Perhaps they are bigger serving sizes. The beef brisket, cornbread and collard greens I had were filling (that was my supper). But dh's lasagna was more expensive, but a smaller serving size then the lasagna at F&W festival.

The food pictures are coming soon.
