Come to the Dark Side...4 Weekends of Fun with the Force(Updated 11/12)

Hey! JJ had a great week. Only one day of severe ticking. He snuck into some chocolate he found. He had one bite size 3 Musketeers Bar, but that little bit was enough to cause big problems.

We went to our 2nd MNSSHP of the season last night. It was a blast. JJ tried to wear a costume but it was just too hot and humid. He wore it only while we were at Fairytale Hall.

Good to hear that JJ is doing better. Little sneak...finding that chocolate. :p

It's been hot and humid here too but not as hot as it was just a few weeks ago. About to read the update!

I find it so awesome that the castmembers are so sweet and kind to JJ. Well, of course, they would be because he's such an cutie patootie!

Nice pictures of the parade and of the meet and greet with his "surprise".

I love the extra bits of pixie dust. I think that it adds to the magic of your time in the parks.

That's awesome that he got to have the meet and greet!! What a nice surprise!!

Yeah pregnancy does mess with you at times.

I love the pixie dust you got! And it is so deserved! How nice of JJ to make the soaps. As for the companion restrooms... I think there is one near studio catering too. :goodvibes

Just wanted you to know I'm a long time lurker who thinks you have an adorable family, and that JJ is a REAL hero! Love to read it and hope to read more in the future!

Happy to hear JJ has been doing better lately with his tics :goodvibes

what another great day you guys had! so much pixie dust, love that the CM's remember JJ and he remembers them and their kindness to him, he is such a sweet boy!

his shirt is awesome and love the photo ops!

sorry haven't been around much, seems like I haven't been home much since school started....hope you guys are having a great weekend!

Thanks. He really is doing much better. Even when he has severe tics they are just lasting seconds or minutes. Not hours like they were. Thank God!

The cast members have really been a bright spot during some trying times.

I recommended that area back there to my friend for her son to watch the parade. It would give him plenty of space to pace before the parade started and it was a nice, quiet, not crowded area. But they didn't come back to SWW after their first attempt.

Before I go on, I have to acknowledge two cast members from last night at Pecos Bill's, Miles and Benny. Miles is a very energenic cm whose love for Disney is evident and contagious. Our family enjoyed sharing Disney experiences, fireworks tips, and camera tips with him. Before he left, he introduced us to Benny. Benny did magic tricks for JJ. So while we missed the fireworks because the boys decided they were hungry; we had some great conversation and entertainment with two fabulous cast members!

Yes, Michele, it really does. Sometimes it's just something as simple as a smile that can brighten our day. Those little acts of kindness go a long way.

Totally unexpected. When he mentioned something at first, I really didn't think it would come to fruition. Didn't mention a word to JJ until just before it happened.

But I'm sure you are cherishing every moment of it and everything that goes along with it.

Thanks. Making soaps is one of the activities that calms JJ.

I thought there might be one there. But I thought I should just stay and wait. Do you use companion restrooms with Zoe?

:welcome: I'm so glad you came out of lurkdom! Thanks for the compliments. He's a brave little boy.

His tics being less frequent and less intense has been such a sigh of relief. The last two days he had some anxieties that caused some throat tics bringing on hyperventilation and choking. He grabbed a paper bag, put it over his mouth and gave me the thumbs up sign that he's A-ok. The other night he had some anxiety and he couldn't stop blinking. His response to that tic was that he's sure glad it's one where he can still breath. I said, "me too."

I guess being our 7th day at SWW and the fact that he loves to talk to EVERYONE...

It was a fun day. I'm so glad we got the photopass CD. Though I wish they'd have a photopass photographer at the celebrity M&Gs.

I've missed you. I'm glad you are involved with Megan's school and dance; and that you enjoy it.

This is the last weekend of our staycation. Hoping to get to Epcot today for the F&W Festival. Original plan was to go to the Orlando Science Center today. There is a new Sesame Street Body exhibit. But we are slow going today. We just finished breakfast.

Finally having a chance to catch up. JJ seems to have charmed many CMs! They remember him and he remembers them, that is pretty impressive. Praying for those tics to stay away so you can enjoy your last weekend of staycation.

I love that JJ is able to communicate so well with adults. I wish the same would happen when he talks with kids. He relates well to children younger, teens and adults. Kids around his age just don't seem to relate with him. He can't keep up with them physically and his interests are so specific. He ends up in monologue or teaching them about something.

Another Pecos Bill's moment here. JJ was asking me a zillion and one questions about the baby at the table across the aisle from us. He wanted to know what the baby eats and why he can't do this or that. The mother over heard him and brought the baby over to JJ. She introduced them. Told him how old he was and what he could do, and how he would learn everything else as time goes on. It was so sweet of her to do that. The baby smiled and smiled at JJ. It was such a tender moment.

I've learned not to say anything to the kids unless I know for sure it's going to happen because they keep asking if it's time yet. :rotfl2: So I don't blame you for not mentioning it to JJ until it happened! I'm glad it did though.

I'm enjoying every day, every kick and just every moment of it. Even when I don't feel good. I just know it means that things are still on the right track.

That is so cute of the mom to bring the baby over and explain to JJ how the baby will learn as the baby grows. So sweet!!!

Fun magic shots!!

Hi stranger!! How are you?

It definitely sounds worth missing the fireworks over!!

Fun magic shots!!

I get so excited, it's difficult not to say anything.

On Monday, we met up with Judy, Pete and Lisa while they are on vacation!! It was the perfect opportunity to have JJ and Lisa spend some quality time together. (I'll let Judy tell about it in her TR.) I told him the night before. Right away he wanted to make something for Lisa. That kept him occupied til bedtime, but the next day dragged for him until it as time to meet. Judy didn't tell Lisa until I called to say I was turning into the parking lot. Last year we had to bail out of meeting one day because JJ wasn't up to it, and she didn't want Lisa to be disappointed if it happened again.

It definitely sounds worth missing the fireworks over!!

Who knew that Pecos Bills could be such a fun experience? (Oh, and LisaM, I thought about John and his "salad" when Joe came back with an extra paper plate for the fixings bar.) I discovered I like banana peppers on a hamburger. YUM!
