I think it kept DH's mind off his mom for a bit. And it was a task with an ending point. Everything here is just so open ended right now. Now I can paint the rest of the kitchen after the kids go back to school.
Let's just hope they can keep it clean!

I want to buy a chalkboard for the space on the right. We couldn't put shelves there because of the light switch.

I call mine "The Pit of Despair". It doesn't help that DH had a...er....home improvement accident yesterday which caused a flood in half ...only his stuff got wet though, and I'm glad I was at work!!!
