Not to hijack Buffy's thread, but he was trying to clean out the little screen in the cold hose for the washer. Well, the whole pipe broke off in the wall. His answer at first was to stick his finger in the pipe But I guess he figured that would be much help when he needed to go to work last night. So, he had to let it gush as he went to find the main shut off valve. Then it became the whole send DS16 to Home Depot...twice...to fix the 5 min home repair.

Oh, and the kicker...he says "I was just trying to do what you asked and get the cold water to flow into the washer better" So, I guess it's really my fault

Isn't that the way it always is?! When our water doesn't flow well, it's because the filter has too much sediment built up.

Buffy, the nook area looks great. Man, you have a lot of cook books. No wonder your kids like your cooking better than mine. Good luck with getting the kitchen painted. You are on a roll, it should brighten everyone's spirits.

I have a coat closet but it's in the front of the house, the stuff never makes it past the dining room so we converted the breakfast nook. It was too small for our family anyway.
Ask Lisa, my dining room is a nightmare!

Buffy, that looks so great! I love the chalkboard idea too! Really nice! It's a cute little area. LOVE that cabinet on the right side!

that is from Crate and Barrel and it's on wheels!! I have zero counter space so we roll it out and it fits in between the fridge and the stove (in front of the basement door).

Not to hijack, but we organized, cleaned out, and painted the laundry room this past weekend. Now I need to get a few more plastic bins for holiday decorations (no more cardboard boxes!), and I want one of those laundry organizer thingies that you can sort into. I'm reorganizing my craft room too - just got suddenly motivated with the new year!
