After dinner we headed over to Figment and the kids got a kick out of that. I know it is a cheesy kids ride but I still make it a point to go in there once every trip. I think its cute
I knew we didn't plan to stay until Illuminations but we figured we could get Nemo and Crush done, and we did with no wait at all---the kids cracked up during Crush and kept saying "DUDE" of course until we made them stop.
*stopping in the Nemo que*
After the ride and show we decided to go let the kids swim before Fay made her way to Florida and really dampened things
and then hit the bed after just a quick 30 minute swim. I conked out and it felt good since I had been up since 3 am.
We set the alarm (my wake up call wasn't working when I tried to set it up ) for 6 and literally jumped out of bed for our first REAL day. Today we had AK planned and it was windy but not really raining yet...I must mention it was pretty dark out still because due to the storm they opened all the parks an hour early so we were at the bus stop by 7:20.
The kids were pretty excited to get to the park and Trae actually acgreed to do EE--my child HATES rides...so odd but he just doesnt find them at al exciting,. Hard to take a kid to Disney when he doesnt ever want to ride anything.
We made it into AK right around opening and quickly headed to EE. TC stayed off with Kayla while the rest of us rode. Melissa and Trae both came off looking queasy! They didn't enjoy it. The rest of us did and jumped back in line while TC, Kayla, ~M~ and Trae headed ro Dinoland to play.
After a second ride on EE we were satisfied and went to go find them. Jalen and Ashley decided while they were waiting for Kayla and Trae to get off a ride to go on Primevil Whirl. I felt so bad for them. We watched them get whipped around and they looked like they wanted OFF. When they did make it off they said it was a painful ride and wouldnt do it again. HAHA famous last words LOL
At this point I wanted to go see if there was a wait for the safari---we headed that way and stopped to get me a Chai freeze that I heard about here---OMG, OMG...I fell in love. It was one of my favorites of the trip. It is at the tea stand over by Kali. I got it again later in the trip.
Once to the Safari we walked right on and had a pretty good ride. Many animals were out
After the safari we decided to go to get our faces painted...Trae decided it was something he didn't want to spend $$ on, but the other kids did and so did ~M~ and myself.
there are pics of all the finished faces but I am going to stop here since my computer keeps freezing while copying and pasting pics...don't want to lose anything...
