Thank you Disneyfan, I guess that is what we will do. I wanted it before we went because I won the stay at the Grand Floridian including Park Hopper tickets for the four of us. So I wasn't going to activate my AP until our GF part of the trip was finished. However the free trip does not include dinning so I thought we would use the TIW.

I am checking prices for a quick trip in October. We want to stay at a mod, so CB AP rate $117.00, Friday, Sat and Sunday and Monday at $110.50. A significant savings over rack rate. But when I checked the rates at PORiverside, the rates for Friday, Sat and Sunday were rack rates of $180.00. The discount only applied to Monday. Has anyone else experiencing this or could it be a mistake?

We would really like to stay at PO, but we will stay at CB for the better rate.

It means rooms are available for those nights, but there are no AP rate rooms available those nights.

I'd suggest booking CBR now and keep checking back for POR.

You are best to just get the TIW upon arrival. You can get it when you exchange your voucher and that's the best way to get it since it is dated from date of purchase. They do kind of give you more than a year on the TIW as well just to let you know. We got ours on Feb 5 th of this year when we purchased are APs. The TIW card expires on March 31, 2011 almost 2 months after the AP. Anyway it serves no purpose to get it beforehand since you have to go exchange the voucher anyway. I think many years ago you did have to get these cards beforehand that's the reason for the longer than a year expiration date, but you can get it at any guest relations.

I totally agree with Disneyfan55.......You are better off getting the TIW card when you exchange your voucher for the reasons quoted above!

I just booked Bay Lake Tower - 1BR - Std. View from Oct. 3 - Oct. 6 with AP discount. Will be staying at RPR at Universal Sept. 30 - Oct. 3 for WWHOP.

You're welcome. Are you saying you have hopper tickets plus the AP voucher. If they are regular WDW tickets, you can keep them for a future stay. Tickets are good forever if not used. Make sure they are MYW passes and don't use them since you have an AP as well. You will have those tickets for a future use and if they are regular MYW tickets, you could have just used them to upgrade, but since you already have the AP voucher, keep those tickets. It may be something different, so ask before using them. Once you use them they're only good for 14 days. I'm so happy for you that you won a trip to WDW. How did you win it? Yes, TIW is a good way to save on dining. Any other questions, please ask!

Yes, I was not able to get on when I tried a couple of times about an hour ago, too. I was able to get on earlier today, though. Must be doing some maintenance....It's not just you.

Got a general public discount of $293 yesterday for our 6 nights at CBR in Nov/Dec. Tried this evening to make it even better...not meant to be. I would have had to upgrade to a king which would have meant spending more money. Dining plan didnt work for us either. Happy with the GP discount. It equals about what we got last year.

Also, from a previous poster, thanks for the info regarding TIW. We planned a last minute trip Labor Day weekend, and I was trying to figure out how to order it in enough time. Didnt realize that I could get it when we turned in our vouchers at guest relations. They will be able to do that at MK guest relations? We will be arriving very late Friday evening and activating our passes first thing saturday morning at MK. Thanks for the help.

As long as Guest Relations is open you can get the TIW. We got ours at MK guest relations in the park since we used a 1 day ticket we had and upgraded to an AP. Any guest relations can do it though. You will have to go to the one outside the gate (on the right side looking toward MK) since you don't have tickets yet! Have fun and it's something that takes only a few minutes!

Hi all. I am truly disappointed and frustrated with the new AP rates. No discounts on Fri and Sat. I don't recall that even happening before, but maybe I am wrong. The same situation for the GP rates and there are no new discounts for Florida Residents. Thanks alot, Disney.
