I don't know what we'll do if discounts don't come out soon,we still haven't bought a plane ticket for my mom and if those prices go too high we may have to scrap this trip.
Yes. We are DVC members, that is how we usually get the DDP. So I called Disney and asked and I was told that if we book an AP rate room we can also get the DDP. Glad for that! But I really, really, really don't want to pay full price for a Wilderness Cabin!!!
I have bad news guys (hopefully it's not true).
I was talking to a CM today since I changed my resort (again LOL) and I asked her about the AP rates. She said they probably won't be out until mid-Sept.!!!!
Right now we are booked in a 40% off room with a one day base ticket and deluxe dining. I told her I am waiting for the AP rates to come out so I can remove the one day ticket and still (hopefully) have a good discount on the room rate. That's when she told me it looks like mid-Sept. for the new rates to be released.
Fingers crossed that she is mistaken!
There were some problems w/ the AP site a while back. They updated it & so that was a part of the problem. I can't remember exactly, but when putting in your AP #, I think its that you shouldn't enter your tran # at all. I don't know if you have a tran # w/ your tickets, but if you do, don't enter that part. Also, you can call Disney's tech dept. and they will help you out. (407) 939-7765

you really helped me. I tried to get in on my own, but had to contact a Disney tech. which I would never have known the number with out your help. They tried to talk me throught it, nope it wouldn't work. So she did it for me and now we are online for passholders. Woo Hoo thank you, thank you. Still no discount out yet, but one less thing to worrry about. 
you can access the passholders site site if you have a voucher from Shades of Green, military base or somewhere else where they are sold. That is what I just did. I will not turn the voucher in for AP pass until we are on property. That way the year starts that day, not back in March when my DH purchased them. My passholder info shows that my AP is good, but not validated yet. I don't know if this helps you or not, but wanted to share the information just in case it would. 
So I checked last night oops...this morning at 1:00 AM pacific time 
and no discount......but then I stared thinking.......maybe they release them right before reservations opens. 
Which was how many hours away??
Come on AP discount starting October 2nd. 
I am waiting too-and can't decide if I should book the free dining pkg for Dec- or wait for the AP rates? to book FD expires 8/14! Ugh!!!

I would book the free dining now, you can alway cancel it when the AP discount comes out. Notice I said WHEN.....there will be one....we just have to be patient. If you are going no matter what then I would grab it before it expires, you can always change it if something else comes before December. Good Luck!
Generally speaking, what % off are the AP rates, specifically for deluxe resorts? Is it usually 40% off?Just trying to get an idea for when they finally come out!
