Loving your trip report so far! And there is no such thing as too many pictures, keep them coming!::yes::

Thanks!! My kids would strongly dis agree with you on the no such thing as too many pictures!!:rotfl2:

Love your pictures & report.

Thanks!! Much more to come!!

So for all those going to POR, I wanted to go back and mention something. We were in building 36 at the back of the resort. Our room was in this photo on the second level, far left room in middle section of the inset area.

We had barley any wi-fi or cell service in our room. Two different phone companies and 5 android phones. My husband tried calling me one night and had to call the hotel phone because my cell would not work. Maybe if we had a room on the area that was not so inset it would not have been so bad. I know the free wi-fi at resorts is a big plus now, but for us, it didn't work.

That job got in my way!!! Was with 850 Middle School Kids today so I was hoping no trouble making Kansas City people would mess up my thread and pick on me!

Can't wait to share more, even if they are Nikon images!!!

850 middle school students? And you're still sane enough to type? I guess we'll cut you some slack! :lmao:

Loving the POR tour. But I'm afraid to keep watching. I've been really happy with the Pop Century. This could really ruin things for me!

Huh. That isn't good about no wifi/cell phone service! I'm staying in POFQ, so hopefully it's just because you were tucked in a bit?

Too funny! It was a nice resort if you ever want to give it a try. Only a few more resort photos then on to AK!!

It was a bummer! I couldn't even make a phone call from inside the room:headache: It probably was our "tucked" location though, it was fine if we were in "open" areas.

Hello, I too am a newbie to the disboards. And just wanted to say
I enjoyed your trip report and adored your photos. Would you mind
letting me know, what kind of camera did you use for those gorgeous
photos. Me, DD and grandkiddies are off to the world on May24th for
6 days. And I could use a camera such as yours. Thx!

I just bought a new Nikon S9300 for our trip. I sure hope my photos are as beautiful as your's. We will also be staying at POR and I am LOVING your pictures and your report. We will be in the mansions since we have a RGR so hopefully wifi will be a bit better there. I will keep everyone posted on what I find.

Hey!!! It's the Awesome Necklace State Neighbor!!!! Welcome to my TR!!!!

I was booking a RGR for the 4 of us, ME, DH, DS15 and DS friend also 15. Who cares that I had two 15 yr old boys with me, I was taking them to WDW for spring break and the princess in me wanted a RGR!!! Then my DD18 decided she wanted to come so we were going to Wilderness Cabins. The more I looked at it I was not thrilled about the internal shuttle. Then someone told me you could put 5 in the AB section and it saved us $900.00 so the made the decision for us.

I hope you enjoy your new camera. I'll be anxious to see how the photos come out!! I find it hard to believe a point and shoot now has 16MP!!! That's crazy awesome!!! Hope you have a great time!!!!

After a long day of packing and unpacking, touring the resort it was time to head to DTD to have dinner with the boys. Once again, I love the boat ride to DTD, very calm and relaxing. But nothing could prepare me for what I saw when I arrived at DTD.

We usually go to Disney in the fall since our school district has a 4 day weekend the end of October. I can pull my kids from school for 3 days (I know, bad parent) and we can have a 10 day trip!! With my DS in high school now, football is now a fall priority, so we adjusted and came on spring break.

I got off the ferry at DTD and was shocked. :scared1: People everywhere! I mean wall to wall people! Working my way down to Wolfgang Pucks was a maze. I knew it would be crowded before we came but WOW! Regroup, you’re at Disney, deal with it. I was so hungry and so shocked by the crowds; the only DTD photo I took was on the ferry. I didn’t even take any food photos, just gobbled dinner right up!

We went back to POR after dinner and waited for my DH and DD to arrive. I was so excited to meet them I left my camera in the room when I went up there. To my delight, YeeHaw Bob was playing in the lounge. Why didn’t I bring my camera!!!!! It was a great way to pass time as I awaited the ME arrival. I stood in the door and sang along with the crowd that had come to see him, and there was a crowd!!

DH and DD arrived safely and the gang was all here! YEA! Let vacation begin!!! Here is a quick shot of the evening POR:

Once I had them settled in we headed back to DTD for a snack at Ghirardelli. Only camera phone came with us so sorry for image quality:guilty:

It was very good ice cream but sorry, it doesn't even come close to Beaches an Cream!!! Coming up later in TR!

Just started reading your TR! We stayed at POR for the first time last September & fell in love! We were in the mansions at Magnolia Terrace! Can't wait to keep on reading.....

Yum... Ghiradelli.... even with the cell phone picture it looks good :)

I totally understand with the football thing, I played basketball all through high school and now in college which means no Christmas trips for me! :sad1: Summer months it is, which is soooo crowded and hot! BUT, like you said: we're in Disney!!!! :goodvibes Oh my, that ice cream looks delicious!! Ok, I NEED to stop there next trip!! But is the Beaches 'n Cream really that much better??

We were there at Christmas a few years back and it was great!! So pretty!!

My entire family agreed that Beaches and Cream is our hands down favorite!! It has become a must do each trip, even if just for a sundae!! Updated photos to come but here is one of my favorite photos from our last trip in 2010 of my kiddos at Beaches and Cream. YUM!! Love this photo:love:

I really want to try Beaches n Cream too this trip, but I've heard it is really hard to get into when its busy. We will try it at off times. Yum! These sundae pictures are NOT helping with my diet!!

Can someone tell me what that giant balloon thing with the Peter Pan characters is? I've never been to WDW, planning my first trip for next year, and I'm finding more and more stuff everyday that I am clueless about!

Thanks!
