After a long day of packing and unpacking, touring the resort it was time to head to DTD to have dinner with the boys. Once again, I love the boat ride to DTD, very calm and relaxing. But nothing could prepare me for what I saw when I arrived at DTD.
We usually go to Disney in the fall since our school district has a 4 day weekend the end of October. I can pull my kids from school for 3 days (I know, bad parent) and we can have a 10 day trip!! With my DS in high school now, football is now a fall priority, so we adjusted and came on spring break.
I got off the ferry at DTD and was shocked.

People everywhere! I mean wall to wall people! Working my way down to Wolfgang Pucks was a maze. I knew it would be crowded before we came but WOW! Regroup, you’re at Disney, deal with it. I was so hungry and so shocked by the crowds; the only DTD photo I took was on the ferry. I didn’t even take any food photos, just gobbled dinner right up!
We went back to POR after dinner and waited for my DH and DD to arrive. I was so excited to meet them I left my camera in the room when I went up there. To my delight, YeeHaw Bob was playing in the lounge. Why didn’t I bring my camera!!!!! It was a great way to pass time as I awaited the ME arrival. I stood in the door and sang along with the crowd that had come to see him, and there was a crowd!!
DH and DD arrived safely and the gang was all here! YEA! Let vacation begin!!! Here is a quick shot of the evening POR:
Once I had them settled in we headed back to DTD for a snack at Ghirardelli. Only camera phone came with us so sorry for image quality
It was very good ice cream but sorry, it doesn't even come close to Beaches an Cream!!! Coming up later in TR!
