Come along on our Spring Break Photo Trip/Dining Report 2012! Update 9/12 Epcot

I really want to try Beaches n Cream too this trip, but I've heard it is really hard to get into when its busy. We will try it at off times. Yum! These sundae pictures are NOT helping with my diet!!

We got in with a very short wait our last two trips. We went about 4:30pm both times.

Can someone tell me what that giant balloon thing with the Peter Pan characters is? I've never been to WDW, planning my first trip for next year, and I'm finding more and more stuff everyday that I am clueless about!

Thanks!

Loving your TR and all the photos. We're staying in a POR - Royal Room in about a month. Our first stay at POR (or any moderate).

It was nice! Where have you stayed in the past??

Hey!!! It's the Awesome Necklace State Neighbor!!!! Welcome to my TR!!!!

I was booking a RGR for the 4 of us, ME, DH, DS15 and DS friend also 15. Who cares that I had two 15 yr old boys with me, I was taking them to WDW for spring break and the princess in me wanted a RGR!!! Then my DD18 decided she wanted to come so we were going to Wilderness Cabins. The more I looked at it I was not thrilled about the internal shuttle. Then someone told me you could put 5 in the AB section and it saved us $900.00 so the made the decision for us.

I hope you enjoy your new camera. I'll be anxious to see how the photos come out!! I find it hard to believe a point and shoot now has 16MP!!! That's crazy awesome!!! Hope you have a great time!!!!

I know, it's crazy with a 16MP and a 18x zoom. I sure hope it takes decent pictures...it was expensive enough for a point & shoot.

We are even pretty close. We are only about 25 miles from the MO state line. So we are really only 40 miles apart! :) I will keep reading until we leave on Tuesday! Keep it coming!

I can only imagine the crowds during Spring Break! :scared1: But, it sounds like y'all had a very nice night! :thumbsup2

Be sure to try to use the camera in several situations before you go so you know the best settings for it. Hopefully you will love it!!!

I am over on the KS side often, mostly shopping or shopping!!!:lmao:

Have a WONDERFUL trip!!!!

It was a fun night and just happy everyone had arrived so we could get the fun started!!!:cheer2::cheer2:

I really like my photos to have the “empty” look. This has taught me patience as a photographer. So in the spirit of wanting those great photos I was up at em early the next day so I could attempt to get the resort “empty” shots I wanted. My DH tracked along and we decided to fill the kids mugs while we took the walk. So here are sunrise shots of POR, about 6:30am.

Here is the check-in area:

We have stayed at All Star Movies and Sports, Pop, and SOG twice. This trip we are staying part time at POR and part time at SOG. Looking forward to trying POR and DD7 is going to love the Princess Room.

Love this report! I've stayed at Riverside around 6 times and going back in 13 weeks. I love your empty resort pics, it's tempting me to get up before sunrise and do the same thing!

Those were amazing shots. Absolutely loved the empty side of Riverside. I should have woke up early one day like you did. Really really enjoyed them!

Enjoying your pictures and trip report. The pictures are absolutely great! We stayed twice when it was Dixie Landings and enjoyed the location. We plan to stay two nights in January after a week off-site. Can't wait to read more.

Just found your TR and I love :lovestruc your pictures!!!

Thank you for posting!!!

I've found if you want "empty" shots yo have to get up early to beat the crowds.

Thanks so much!! It was really early since I'm used to central time like you, but I can sleep when I get home, I'm at Disney and I want every second I can get!!!

Pretty!! I love early morning shots at resorts! They always come out the best.

Thanks!! I love the sunrise time of day!! Good lighting, no crowds and no heat!!:goodvibes

Really enjoying your report! Up until last summer, we never stayed at a mod before. Have stayed BWI, YC, OKW, AKl...and last summer due to odd circumstances (free trip!) we stayed at POFQ and we loved it. (I miss my balcony but otherwise...:thumbsup2)

So this June we are 3 nights POR and 3 nights BC CL. DD13 loved the food court! :) So I am loving your report. We didn't explore much of POR last summer but will this June.

Last year at POR we rented a pontoon for an hour and DH was our captain. One of the nicest memories of the trip....Can't wait to read more.

The deluxe hotels I've stayed at are YC and OKW. I love the deluxe feel of them but when it comes to the $ and the amount of time we are actually in our room, moderates usually win. We have been happy with the moderates, each has a very different feel.

If I did a split stay I would have to go moderate fisrt then up to deluxe for it to work for me.

I love doing the extra's like renting boats or the bikes at the Boardwalk. Isn't funny how something so simple can be so much fun!!
