Comcast cable vent!

I'm having problems also, but with my cable Internet. Always Quiet and I live very close to one another and find it no coincidence that she's having problems too.

It's getting terrible.

AQ-if you feel like looking for it, I made a Comcast rant post several weeks ago.

I'm still having problems and had no Internet all day yesterday.

They can't find the problem.

When we lived in Ann Arbor, Comcast came in and took over the local cable company. During this whole process, they constantly ran television ads saying how they were family now, and we would think of them as such. As it turns out, the new "family" member must be the former brother-in-law asking for money toward his newest and best business venture. They raised our rates just about every other month.

We subsequently moved, and Comcast did they same thing with the local service. Though they haven't raised the rates significantly - yet - they have started to fiddle with the channels. And as others have complained, no Travel Channel unless you get an upper-level digital package.

The dish is looking pretty good at this point...

Glad to hear I'm not alone in the dislike of Comcast! We've lived here 5 months and I still don't have my cable buried. Well they did bury it by hand about 2 weeks after we moved in. Of course when they graded my lawn, it got pulled up. They buried it again, by hand. Then when we had our lawn prepped for seeding, it got pulled up.

My neighbor got cable and 3 days later a truck arrived with a machine to bury the cable! I was so mad! Why didn't they ever come out for us?

I called C.S. and got a huge run-around. I wanted to talk to a supervisor. The girl could NOT transfer me to one. I had to leave a message and wait for a return call. I asked for a phone number of a supervisor, anyone in management. She didn't have that information. Basically all she could do was take my number, leave a message for a higher up, and hope someone would call.

After 3 phone calls and getting madder by the moment I FINALLY spoke to someone in the local office about burying the cable. Is it buried? No! Supposedly this week, if the weather is ok.

Their customer service is terrible. I even asked for the presidents name and address. No one had the address. Ridiculous.

I feel sorry for the cs agents. When someone is irate, there seems to be not much they can do but take your number.

btw-We have basic and the Travel Channel. I wish we had SoapNet though..........

If you want to get the names and address of the execs of Comcast, all you have to do is call Comcast (215) 665-1700 and ask for Investor Relations. Just tell them you are interested in the company and would like a copy of the Annual Report. They will all be in there. Here are some execs names.

C. Michael Armstrong - Chairman

Brian L. Roberts - President, CEO

Lawrence S. Smith - Executive VP

When contacting about a problem you have, be sure and have documentation. The nature of the problem, the name of the person you contacted and the date and time. This will get at least some attention.
