:confused3 We usually go to WDW for 4 days followed by Vero for a few days to relax. My friends who have 2 children ages 9 and 4 are going to WDW for the first time next July. They bought 8 day park hoppers and wondered if they should do WDW for 8 days (including check-in/check-out days) then go to Vero, or put Vero in the middle of the trip, OR go to Vero first before the kids have the excitement of WDW. I think that Vero is better at the end of a trip, but promised them I'd ask everyone here. Also, they are flying into MCO so will need to rent a car to get to Vero. Anyone know if they can rent at WDW and return at airport? Thanks for any input :)

Yes, you can rent at WDW and then return to the airport. That is how I had my original rental scheduled for this years trip.

I can't help you with the other piece as I have never done Vero, but if I was doing it, I would probably put Vero in the middle of my trip. After 3 days or so in the park in the summer heat, I would think it would be nice to relax a bit. Then go back and finish up other parts of the trip. The only drawback is that requires two moves instead of one.

We have done Disney then Vero in the past. Next year however we are planning to do 5 days at Vero and then 5 days at Disney. I know I will be very relaxed after the Vero part of our trip so we'll be ready for Disney. If you do commando style in the parks it is probably better to do Vero after. Either way it will be a great vacation. We have rented a car at the airport and returned it at Disney. We try to return it to a d/o that is convenient to where we are staying. We have dropped off at the Dolphin when staying at the Epcot resorts and at Lake Buena Vista Palace when staying at SSR or OKW. We prefer to take ME back to the airport- more relaxing than driving back.

We just did this combo. We did WDW (10 nights) FIRST then did 4 nights at Vero. Many on here had suggested it that way. Some do it the other way though. Oh and one family that one of our son's met.....did WDW, Vero, WDW. The families we chatted with at Vero did it both ways. It was very relaxing to have 4 days of pure down time after a busy 10 days at Disney. Then again....it was kind of a small let down after WDW. Sure it was a nice resort, but it is DISNEY LITE. I think if we do Vero again...we will do VERO FIRST then go to WDW. We are so used to leaving WDW and going home it felt weird in a way. We thought Vero would be a nice way to extend our trip with more Disney magic......however we missed DISNEY when we were at Vero. ;) We want to try HHI next.

I think you will get a variety of answers on HOW TO DO VERO WITH WDW.
