Combining reservations at same resort?

My response was strictly in reference to combining the two reservations. The first reservation number is used and remained the same for the entire reservation and the second reservation number was discarded. At no time did I try and change or apply any discounts. This is strictly combing two reservations that are on consecutive dates in the same room category to create one reservation.
Will I likely be able to combine two reservations at the same resort but with the first reservation a standard room (4 nights) and the second reservation a pool view (2 nights)? Since there are no standard room options shown as available now for the second reservation time period, I am thinking that I may be wasting my time trying. I don't even care if we have to change rooms. I am strictly interested in the ADR advantage.

That's a tough call as you have two different room categories. I could see some pixie dust thrown your way with a pool view the whole time if they have room. I could also see a down grade to keep you in the same room. Because you have two different categories you will not be able to combine the ressies for a ADR booking advantage. Unfortunately, you would have to talk to the front desk at check in to let them know your wishes on staying in the same room. I would keep trying to get all of the same room category for your trip. Literally check multiple times a day because changes happen starting at 75 days before your ressie as people start making dining plans before your 60 days. They will also finalize their resort ressies and will possible upgrade or down grade. Good Luck

Thanks for the quick response. We would not be against a downgrade to facilitate the combining of the two reservations. I am only looking for the ADR advantage. I will keep looking for the same room category. However, the resort is not showing any availability at this time. But, December is still a ways off.

We do it all the time at BWV. As long as rooms are in the exact category..i.e. Garden View vs Standard, we have never ever had a problem. We do always stop at the front desk the night before to remind them. Many times (not always) on the morning checking out of the earlier one, we actually get a text say 'our room isn't ready' for the following day.

Sometimes, I purposely book several days at a time because if I want to modify the reservation (or cancel a night), it's so much easier.
