Combining pts from 2 contracts

Good morning to all my DIS friends

I've been thinking about adding on at BLT since construction begun and we were all guessing that it's going to be a DVC resort, I've been saving every little penny to buy in. I was only planning on purchasing about 60 pts before the incentives came out. Now in order to take advantage of the incentives I would need to purchase at least 100 pts. Here's what I'm thinking as long as I purchase before Jan 15th I can purchase two small contracts which would consist of 60 pts and 40 pts, and if I need to at a later date sell the 40 pt contract. Ok, here's my question, if I have two contracts at the same resort (BLT) and I go to make my reservations can I combine the pts from both contracts to make the reservation or do I have to transfer the pts from one contract to the other every time I go to make my reservation? I've only owned one contract up to this point, which is very easy to handle. Thanks.

First of all, you need to verify that the minimum purchase for incentives can be divided into two contracts. I do not know if Disney is currently allowing that. Since they are increasing the minimum add on for BLT they may not want to allow it now.

Assuming they do, they will give you two "add-on" contracts to your current Master contract. Both add ons will have the same use year as your Master. You will not have to do any transfers between the contracts to make reservations. For you, it will be like making reservations from one 100 BLT point contract.

The only time you have to do transfers is when you have more than one Master contract (doesn't happen when you buy from Disney direct unless you insist and buy the minimum for a new contract).

Thanks Carol, that's what I thought but wasn't sure. I'll have to call my guide and check about splitting the 100 pts into two contracts.
