If I own 100 points at OKW and purchase another 100 points at another resort, can I combine the points to use for 1 reservation. For example, I want to stay at a resort and I need 200 points to stay there. Can I combine my 100 points at each resort and then have the 200 I need?

Absolutely, but if they are from two resorts, you'll need to book in the 7-month window if you combine them.

If you want maximum use, alternate banking and/or borrowing to be able to book within the 11 month-window.

oh my! great minds think alike
I didn't see your post and just asked the same thing,,:rotfl2:

I;m so excited. I've recently "rented" 102 points for a BWV studio Apr. 22-28. With two teenagers I'm now second-guessing myself about them sleeping on the double sofa bed and wonder if I should have sprung for the one-bedroom instead. Do you know if, now that I have a confirmed reservation, if it is allowed to rent more points from someone else to upgrade our room type if available?

1BRs will also have a sleep sofa as the 2nd bed - but to answer your question, the only way a renter could combine points is if the member you rented from is willing/able to change the original reservation and then link additional points from a different renter. You can not just add some points to "pay" for the upgrade - it must be reserved in advance.

If the member you are renting from has additional points and the resort has availability, then you could possibly upgrade to another size villa.

Good luck! :)

At 11 months from check out you can book part of your stay using the points you own at that resort. At 7 months out, you can try to add the rest of the nights you need using points from your other contract, subject to availability. As Paging Tom Morrow said, if you bank and borrow the points you need from one contract, you can pull together enough points to book the entire stay there at 11 months out. Then you stay at the other resort the next year using the same approach.

Wait, isn't there a transfer charge if the UY are not the same?
The answers given above assume that the second contract is an "add on", meaning it's the same UY and under the same membership number as the OKW contract.

If the contracts are separate master contracts, then the OP could book several nights of their stay with one contract 11 months out and the remaining nights with the other contract at 7 months out and link the two reservations together. Another option with separate master contracts is to use the once-per-UY transfer to transfer points from one master contract to the other. But neither of those options involves any fees.

I was thinking of this, as well. We've got 200 at SSR, and just added 100 at AKV. What do you think the odds are of getting a GV at SSR in the 7-mo window in Magic season (summer-ish)?

Very good if you do day by day at 7 months out. I'd book weekdays 11 months out using your SSR points then if you need to round it out with the AKV points or any banked or borrowed SSR points, you could.
