Combining Back to Backs

If I ended up having to book two back to back reservations at the same resort, same people, same 2BR, can Member Services combine them into one, or should I call the resort directly? Or, do I just have to suck it up and hope that I only have to change key cards on second checkin day?

MS can combine them into one continuous reservation if both reservations were made from the same Membership. If not, MS can "link " them and request that no room change be made. These are almost always granted.

You can call, chat or email to get this done.

If they are under the same membership, you can contact MS to have them merge the reservation. I recommend using chat so you don't have to sit on hold for a long time. If they are under different memberships then the reservations cannot be combined, but MS should be able to put a note on the reservations that it's a continuing reservation so that you don't have to move. If the latter, I also recommend checking at the front desk when you arrive to confirm that they have the reservations linked.

The last few times I've had to merge they made me send an email. After the email, it took about 5 days for them to merge the reservations. They wouldn't do it on chat, like previously. Not sure why.

Same for me, but they were able to send the request and I didn't have to call in. Even when you call, they'll start a request and it'll get done in 5-8 days.

Agreed. That’s what I have done now, and have already received the 5-7 day confirmation reply.

I used Chat to initiate and was told they sent a message to combine - I received an email confirmation about 5-7 days later. It was longer than I expected, but they did complete the combo.
