Combining 2 Orbitz Reservations

Our family is planning a stay for next June and I'm assuming our stay will span over two different promotional periods, so we'd have to book two different stays to take advantage of both discounts. Has anyone done this through Orbitz or am I better paying a little bit extra to book through Disney as I'm sure they combine two reservations all the time? Thoughts?

Disney couldn't combine reservations for me last August. I had to have 2 separate reservations at YC, and they couldn't link them because of the different promo rates, even though they were the same room category. I had two separate reservation numbers and had to pay 2 deposits. I called YC a few days ahead of checkin and let them know I had a continuing reservation and would like to stay in the same room, and did the same at check-in. They were able to do that but it was never guaranteed.

I think you might as well book Orbitz and save yourself some money. Just have them note on both reservations that they're continuing, and call ahead and also note at check-in that you don't want to have to move. Good luck!

here's note, if you make an orbitz res. get that 'disney res/ #' to be able to make requests on your room,etc. there is another thread here dedicated to orbitz res. info,and they detail how to get that proper number. it's 2 different numbers,and will make your life easier to know them both (the 'dis' # is the same # they will put on ME tags,etc also)
