Combing 2 DVC Memberships to Make Reservations?

I think they MS will not combine points from two different memberships (I am not referring to contracts) as a general rule.

However, will they sometimes make an exception. I have two different membership numbers--one is my name only and the second one is my name along with my daughter's name.

In the second member account, there is only 7 points (banked) from last year. Alone, that would not be enough to even book a night in a studio. And they will be lost if not used before May 31 of 2010. Would it be possible to use those 7 in addition to some from my first membership to make reservations (since my name is on both of them)? Has anyone had luck with this?

I think you would have to do a transfer from the account with 7 points into the other one or vice versa and hen you can use all of them.. The one transfer in or out would apply to both contracts so you would not be able to do any other transfers for those memberships for that year.

You would have to use your one a year transfer and transfer the 7 points to your other contract to use them. Or transfer enough points from the other contract to the one with 7 points to make enough for a single night. You can't use points from two different contracts (different first numbers, not just xxxxxx.00, xxxxxx.01, etc) to make up a single night.

Yes, like I thought...that is the " rule." I was just wondering if anyone had had luck with MS ever making an exception. And the reason I was asking was because I thought I once read on the boards where MS had done this for someone in this same situation. I have had my transfers for the year already.

I think you would have to transfer points to the account with the 7 points as they are already banked. You can bank transferred points but cannot transfer banked points.

MS will wave the once per year rule if you are transferring between memberships that you own. If the Adviser says that it can't be done, asked to have your call transfered to a Team Line Adviser.

Thanks...maybe this info was what I had read before. I will try that to see if those 7 points can be put to use. We had bought a small contact in both of our names so that my daughter can become a "member" and begin to purchase small add-ons later. Those 7 points were banked into a stripped year (2009) by previous owner.
