Combined points & cash trip

I'm not even a DVC member yet, but hope to be by the end of the year. I'm wondering, when you combine points and cash for a trip, whether the rates are better through DVC or CRO, or if it varies depending on when you travel, etc.

It depends, you have to compare. DVC member rate is 25% off (subject to availability), AP rates vary. I've haven't checked lately but in the past found that AP discounts are better for studios (flat $ off), but 1 bedrooms and larger are better with 25% off.

Reservations made with points and reservations made through CRO cannot be linked. There is always the possibility that you will have to move. You WILL have to check out and check back in again. But you may have to move. Some reservations made with points cannot be made with cash through CRO, like BW view, standard view at BWV, dedicated two bedroom at BCV.

I don't believe those room types can be booked with member cash discount either. Points only.
