I know this has been asked before... If I reserve a studio and a 1 bedroom at BWV, can I call MS and have it converted into a 2 bedroom lockoff?

Not in the sense of having the lower point cost, and there's no guarantee you get the connecting units.

No, a 2 - bedroom lock-off is a separate booking category and separate inventory.

So if I cancelled a one bedroom and a studio a two bedroom lock off wouldn't show up as available? I don't mind paying the higher point costs.

It might, it might not. I would verify inventory prior and maybe have MS make the change.

Ok. So I guess my real question is this.... I have six nights booked in a two bedroom garden view lock off at BWV. I have the first night booked in two one bedrooms right now. I would rather have a single two bedroom. Should I waitlist a two bedroom, or waitlist a studio? I only have one waitlist available to use.

Funny you should ask. I just asked MS this exact question this week. They told me NO. All they would do is put a traveling with on each reservation. I have a studio and 1 bedroom, both standard view. I sent them an email....figured I would ask. My traveling party got bigger than when I started, or I would've booked a 2 bedroom at the beginning.

Here is the problem, thinking that if you get a one bedroom and a studio, that it will connect...even at resorts like OKW where ALL one bedroom connect to a studio. Since resorts, unlike cruise ships, do not not completely empty and then bring in guests all at the same time, there is no way to guarantee that the party that may be occupying the studio would leave on the day yo need it.

For instance say there are 2 two bed lock off units at a resort, that are booked are 1 bed and studios Party A wants a one bedroom June 1 to 15, Party B wants a studio June 2 to 17, Party C wants a one bed June 3 to 5, party D want a studio June 4 to 6, and so on and so forth. It is just the way the system works, and problematic that lockoffs booked as one bed and studio would ever match dates exactly, so in your case, getting a one bed and studio, connecting, for the same dates would be very rare,

Thanks! I hope your traveling with works out, and you end up right next door.

Me too. I have 4 granddaughters who are already fighting over who's sleeping in which room. Since they are 12, 12, 10 & 8 I have to split them up if we don't connect. I'm already dreading this trip.

Yikes!! That's a lot of granddaughters. Do they all get along well when not fighting over sleeping places? Did you waitlist a two bedroom?

Many of the studios and 1 bedrooms at BWV are dedicated, meaning they do not connect.

BoardWalk Villas - Villa Types
-97 Dedicated Studios
-130 Dedicated 1BR villas
-0 Dedicated 2BR villas
-149 Lockoff 2BR villas
-7 Grand Villas
Total = 383 Villas / 532 Max. Available

Ah! This makes sense then. I was under the impression every thing was connecting and there were no dedicated one bedrooms or studios.

Waitlist the two-bedroom.

I would definitely waitlist the 2-br. Good luck!

FWIW, we had booked a studio and friends had booked a 1BR through CRO back in 2015, and requested to be put in a 2Br lockoff or near each other, if possible. They couldn't do that, but did manage to put us a few doors down from each other.
