Comair bad?

I just booked our flight through Travelocity. It's a Delta flight run by Comair. I'm so glad to have finally gotten a decent rate. But it looks like a teensy little plane. Will we be miserable?

Thanks

Shel

I haven't flown on Comair, but I've flown on small planes. They are not much different than the big jets, especially if they have jet engines vs prop.

I've flown comair several times. Most times it was a 50 passenger jet, but I'm flying them in Sept this year and we have a 35 passenger jet going down and a 50 coming back. Its not like riding on a 747 but its not terribly uncomfortable even for me and I'm 6'4" tall.

Thanks. That's good to hear. How about turbulence? We'll have two in our group who are deathly afraid of flying.

Haven't flown Delta Connection (Comair) in ages, but recently flew Northwest Jet Airlink (Pinnacle) on a 50 Seat Candair Regional Jet. Although the inside of the aircraft is no different then larger jets, it rides much rougher in my opinion. When you hit a bump on the runway during takeoff or landing, the entire cabin shakes ( :goodvibes ). I wouldn't recommend the aircraft for flights over 1 hr 30 mins because they aren't as comfy as my favorites (Boeing 757, MD-80)

I have not noticed much of a difference in the ride. I like the fact that you can board and exit quickly!

I've flown Comair on at least 10 different flights to and from MCO. I love them. I really like the smaller jets. They're comfortable, have more leg room, and get you on and off quickly. I've never noticed a great deal of difference with the turbulence. Love the fact that the luggage gets to the carousel at about the same time you do. the waiting area at MCO is a little small, but is very convenient to the monorail that takes you to the main terminal.

I just took a Comair flight last nite. I love the CRJs (Canadair Regional Jets). They have all leather seats and are an easy loading and unloading plane since there are fewer people. Note though that your larger carry-on items are "gate checked" and wont ride with you on the inside of the plane. Dimensions are available on Delta's website.

I've flown Delta/Comair for most my flights from my local airport, with a connection to a "big" Delta plane to get to Florida. I've never encountered much turbulence in the Delta/Comair flights. I'd compare it to a bus hitting a small pothole. I've had more turbulence on the bigger planes.

The Comair CRJ's arefairly nice. I am 6'2" and dont really have that much trouble getting in or out. Don't let the look of the jet fool you. The jet may look small, but there is plenty of room inside.
