Columbus Weekend?!!!!!

Help! Does anyone know how the crowds are on Columbus Day weekend? Just want to go for a few nights and wanted to know if it is worth it! I am also going in January, but we need a quick a fix!!

My family went Columbus day Oct.03. It was crowed Just get a good plan and enjoy! We got up early and rode lots and saw lots my mother-in-law joined us later after she got up and going... well the only thing she wanted to do was ride small world and it was a 65min.wait! The jungle cruise posted a 40 min and it took us close to 2 hours to ride! My father-in-law couldn't take the crowds and went back to the room.I still had a GREAT TIME .I have always laughed at people saying Oct. is a slow month
However I am going back in October this year 2 days after Columbus day and I have lots of touring hints gathered from awesome people on Dis and I will have a fantastic time again! If it is crowded enjoy people watching, use touring info and stay a step ahead.We play the Disney World guessing game in lines (20 questions Disney Stye).

there is now way to know for sure if it will be super crowded... just have a plan and if the glass looks half empty put down the glass and go for a Mickey Bar Have a great trip!

Given all the hours changes (longer with two Fantasmic! and two Spectro's some nights) and EMH changes (there are two for the long weekend in adition to the two for the 1st week of Oct) Disney posted last night... well I am thinking it is going to be very crowded.

Whenever hours are extended like this it means Disney is seeing a lot of full rooms in the area (they watch the nonDisney hotels as well).
