Columbus weekend

How are the crowds on Columbus day weekend? anyone been there during this time?

Hi,


As with any question about crowds, you are likely to get the following two posts among your replies:

Post 1: We went at that time last year and the crowds were great! We walked onto everything!

Post 2: We went at that time last year and we will never do that again! The crowds were horrible!


But...the bottom line is...October crowds are quite manageable. And at all times of year, weekends are busier than weekdays, and holiday weekends are busier than regular weekends.

In general I'd agree with Bob P. Both answers can be correct.

Our experience in October is that Epcot is busy on weekends because of the Food & Wine festival (you'll find us there!), while the MK will be busy on days that MNSSHP runs.

Well I have to say we went last Columbus day weekend/week and it was very busy. When we went again in March for Spring break I thought Columbus day week had more crowds. I have been in September twice (after Labor day) and there were low crowds and walk on rides. Also have been in November before Thanksgiving and found that to be absolutely perfect with weather and lower crowds. Unfortuntely I can't take DD out of school in November because her school forbids it. that is our favorite time to go though.

We have a trip planned for that long weekend and were wondering the same thing. We're still going to chance it, a lot of people we know who were planning to go aren't anymore with the price of everything increasing. Thankfully our hotel is pretty much paid for with DH's hotel points, otherwise I'm sure we'd we re-thinking the trip too.
