Never flown SW. With all the talk about them, I am waiting to see what the rates are. We are going June 27 (Wednesday) and coming home July 7 (Saturday). Is there anyway to know what I should expect? I know a lot of it is a guessing and gambling game, but I am interested in those who fly SW from Columbus, especially that time of year. We have flown out of Columbus before, but using Delta. Around $200 per person RT.

Flying out has never been a big issue. But when returning you need to get to the airport early!!!!!! The lines for SW were horrid in Florida!

We've done several trips per year from CMH to MCO with SWA. My DH flies to Orlando often for business. He loves SWA...he calls it the flying bus, but it is efficient, on time and the service has always been good. Most of our flights have been approx. $159-200 range per person. On our upcoming trip, we got it down to the lower end of the range. It seems like lately, they start with the prices high, and then come WAY down...which leaves you with, do I wait, or do I book and then rebook with a lower fare. We rebooked and now have a decent credit. You can also sign up for the SWA DING fares and try your luck with that.
We really like Soutwest and has become our airline of choice!
Leaving out of Columbus is a breeze, coming back from Orlando takes longer, but is not a bad experience overall.
