Columbia thermo coil coats

I don't have the thermo coiil but dh and I both have omni heat jackets.
He uses his skiing and said it is great, stays completely dry especially during sleet and rain and stays warm.
I just got mine so I can't say too much about it but I did notice I was warmer when I was moving as opposed to just standing still. Makes sense as the more heat your body generates the more that is reflected back. It is nice and light weight with no bulk.
I assume the thermo coil works the same way.

My daughter has the thermal coils in it and loves it. She took it off the other day and I could still feel the heat from her jacket a few minutes after she took it off. She also gets shocked every time she takes off a coat, and something about the thermal coils keeps her from getting that electricity buildup.
