While I don't think it's as good as it once was, after 40+ trips to MK, this is the ONLY CS restaurant we'll even consider.

it's one of our must-dos when we go to MK. however, they did have this sandwich with turkey and broccoli slaw that was wonderful (they've since removed it from the menu).

Be grateful you accidentally stumbled upon Columbia Harbour House. It is fantastic -- easily the best counter service restaurant in the Magic Kingdom and among my favorites on property.

The lighthouse sandwich is my favorite item on the menu. It's a sandwich consisting of hummus, ripe tomatoes and broccoli slaw on thick multigrain bread. The fried fish and chicken nuggets combination is large enough to split between two people.

I also enjoy the New England clam chowder, but it's often too hot for soup.

Something I would have never thought to order had I not seen everyone on this site raving about it...

It's a nice break from fried *everything*.

We go every year and I always get the Lighthouse Sandwich and my DH loves the fish and chips.

I love sitting upstairs next to a window so I can people watch!

you guys are the BEST!!!!

I know I said that I enjoy being "served" at lunch - but honestly, in the middle of a hot, sweaty June day, the most important thing we're looking for is nice cold a/c, a chair and a tasty lunch!!

and this place sounds like it would fit the bill perfectly!!

I have some food pics from CHH, I will try & get them on here later. I also forgot - my kids love the chicken fingers here (adult meal, not from the kids menu) - they're the large, real white meat breaded chicken fingers - not the gross filler nuggets they serve around the park in some places.

I wanted to add too - although this is CS we've found the CM's working upstairs (cleaning tables, refilling condiments, etc.) are very nice. They always smile & say hello. Once my DS spilled his drink & they came right over with a wet rag & towels to help clean it up, and brought him a new drink for free. We were very impressed that they did this since it was our own fault.

We just ate there on Friday. I had the shrimp basket and dh had the tuna sandwich. Both were very good. I like the fact that you take your stroller right to the table with you.

Last night, DS9 and I found ourselves alone for dinner. (Doesn't happen often in a family of 7.) He suggested Taco Bell. As we were eating, he said, "I want to go back to WDW."

As we sat there visiting about Disney, I asked which restaurants he would want me to book. (The minute we announce we are going to Disney, the kids start calling out restaurants they want me to book... Teppan Edo, Chef's de France, Chef Mickey's, etc.! They are quite opinionated.)

So last night, he said, "Definitely the Fish House in MK!" I told him you don't need an ADR there, but said, "You really like that place." He said, "Yep, the food is good and I really like our table. You can sit and look out the window at the long line for the Haunted Mansion."

We were there for 12 days in April. The kids chose Columbia Harbour House for lunch on all 3 of our MK days of our last trip. We sat at the same table all 3 times.

I think if you get the non fried items it could be good. Last yr we got the chicken and the shrimp, shrimp had little taste, reminded me of Capt Ds(yuck) and chicken was very average. I want to try the chowder and the tuna sandwhich tho, I do enjoy the ac there!
