I don't get the whole DIY furniture thing. Maybe I'll change my mind, but a long drive down south for bookshelves doesn't really appeal to me.

Final countdown to WDW for us - YAY! This nice spring weather was a nice preview of what awaits in Florida!

Maybe we will see you down there! We leave tomorrow - a few days in Fort Myers for Spring Training then at BLT for the week. Hoping to get out before the snow!

oh man it isnt the furniture as much as the gadgets for me! You can find ANYTHING in there!! You can even get awesome, highly rated appliances now for cheap too.... and their beds! I am holding off replacing mine. I might have to take a truck from Utah though I *really* need a new bed!

And the meatballs.... yum!

I agree; if you don't go because you think it is nothing but bookshelves, you will really be missing out. Our DS still uses an IKEA desk that we bought in NJ long before he was born.

and its GOOD food for cheap! Of course Im half Swedish so I grew up with this food. The meatball meal you can get for $1.99 sometimes, breakfast is often free or under $2.00. Their coffee is to die for!

So who is gardening this year? I need some serious help! I have no idea what grows here.

Just rototilled and composted this weekend. I leave the rest to my DW. She usually does well with tomatoes, zucchini, pumpkins and cukes. We haven't had much luck with bell peppers, but anaheim and serrano chilies have grown well for us. Also, sage and oregano grew well last year.

We do good with tomatoes, jalapeno peppers, and cilantro. We can never get strawberries to grow for us.

2 seasons in and we've got a great strawberry patch

Onions and lettuce are our other big growers.

We can get strawberry plants to come back each year, but the squirrels or the birds seem to get the strawberries before they get very big. We planted cilantro once and it seems to come back bigger and more widespread every year, not unlike mint.

Kids are getting ready to go back to school soon, have you guys started yet? We go on the 23rd.

Thinking about heading up to Estes Park tomorrow, its free national Park weekend. What has everyone been up to this summer?

It's been a gorgeous day today! We're getting ready to grill some salmon burgers and eat outside! My kids start school on Monday - we're in Littleton.

Estes Park would be beautiful tomorrow if this weather keeps up!!

We are in final countdown mode to sending our first child to college! She moves in to her dorm at CU on Thursday. Younger dd goes back to school the same day. Rockies game tomorrow - hope the weather will be as perfect as today's was!

Binny - thanks for bumping this up. We actually started school August 4th. It always seems so early but I love the two week fall break.

Hi all! We have been busy camping this summer. My DH and I bought a tent trailer so we have been putting it to good use. This last weekend we went to Mesa Verde and had a great time! I love not having to sleep on the ground in a tent.
