So far I havent seen much else but the inside of my house but will try to venture out soon!

I like it a lot actually, I will post our adventure here in a minute... its really funny.


We have some dog odor issues from the owners though and visible urine problems. Yuck.


Other than that its good. The kitchen is a lot smaller than the last house so that is going to take some adjusting but it will work out.

For those of you looking for a Colorado Disney Give a Day opportunity with kids, there is now a Project Linus day in Highlands Ranch. You can either go make blankets on February 20th at Pax Christi Church or you can make two blankets and just drop them off. I love that this is something my kids can do. We signed up today and are going shopping tomorrow for fleece fabric.

I just wanted to let folks know as there has not been much in Colorado for kids under 12.

Hey does anyone belong to the Denver Moms like me group? I joined and met a bunch of gals for lunch yesterday it was great meeting them.

Here is the FB version of what happened:

We were in a brutal snow storm at the time and had to stop every few miles and have me spray down the windshield with windex then go on.... over and over again. It was finally fixed about 6 hours into the trip. The idiots had used straight water in the washer fluid reservoir which promptly froze solid.

there were a few more but apparently didnt get posted. Something about miles and miles of miles and miles through Wyoming. And I would have done the same thing my ancestors did when they came through 150 years ago... just kept going.

Then this one:
"Made it to Colorado. New house 80 miles to go"

Then this is where the fun really starts:

"met all the neighbours the fire chief 3 firetrucks 2 policemen .Yay we're famous. oy vey going to bed now"

"well after such a tumultous day yesterday I am loving the quiet of today! so far so good"

"Ok really long story short. i am borrowing someones internet. Turned on gas fireplace to have a camp out. Apparently there was a birds nest in the vent. It went up in BIG fire. Neighbour ran to door pounding on it with fire extenguisher in hand. Since he didnt know how bad it was he had already called 911. All neighbours came out to see what happened, Ladder truck was here, another truck policeman, fire chief."

All were safe and sound and no damage to the house.

So all in all it has been a very exciting few days.

the homeowners association president came by night before last and brought a box of cookies for a welcome. They are really nice so far!

We have annual passes but since we are going spring break I thought it would be nice to have the fast passes.

Yes, we will be there the same time - we fly in March 18th and are spending the weekend at Red Sox Spring Training, then check into BLT on Sunday the 21st.

What's really funny about this is that DW just received an IKEA catalog in the mail yesterday and said that it brought a tear to her eye. I think IKEA may be one of our stops while we're out east in June.

I don't get the whole DIY furniture thing. Maybe I'll change my mind, but a long drive down south for bookshelves doesn't really appeal to me.

Final countdown to WDW for us - YAY! This nice spring weather was a nice preview of what awaits in Florida!
