Colorado DISers ... where are you ?

Cassidy is going to New York...the lucky duck is going to see Hairspray on Broadway on one of her "free" days!! This has been an expensive trip but I think she will enjoy it and actually get something out of it too.

We are camping at the Lone Duck campground outside of Colorado Springs. The Springs area is our favorite place to go outside of Metro Denver. :lovestruc

I got the girls this kodak http://www.bestbuy.com/site/olspage.jsp?skuId=8671804&type=product&id=1197074522114 figuring I would spend that much in disposables and processing easy for Cassidy's trip. Mine is a little better but darn if I can remember which one it is right now. :rotfl: I was drooling over the dSLR in front of me at the game...then I snuck a peek at their pictures and thought "dang, my camera takes that good of pictures":rotfl2:

drivencrazy - I love the picture in your avatar.

Thanks, that is when my hubby was leaving for Iraq, telling our son that he was going to be good while daddy was gone, our 3 year old is off to the right, you can see her pink! But all is good, he is back now and won't be going back for sometime now!

I should add, I didn't take the picture, it was taken by a Denver Post person and was in the paper!

A Kodak EasyShare C433. We've been really pleased since buying it before our last Disney trip. Nothing fancy, easy to carry and the pictures have been great. I've been lurking on the photography board trying to pick up tips on how to take even better photos.

We have a canon (2 of them actually) but our newest one we didn't have when we went to Disney, we got it before my hubby went to Iraq so we could each have a camera... we are still figuring out what all it does and all the different things I wish it was a bit easier!

My parents have the Kodak EasyShare and they are really pleased with it!

I think I will check out the photography board, my hubby is the picture taker around here, but I do try and am willing to learn to take them better!

Just to clarify, my mom has an Olympus not Nikon for the waterproof camera.

Oops, Heidi you are so correct. The Olympus Stylus 770SW. Not sure what I was thinking. Thank you.

Drivencrazy, that is an awesome picture. I was thinking that I saw it inone of the Sunday papers. Am I correct?

Hi Everyone.
Sorry I haven't been up on posting - but I have been reading. :thumbsup2
Beautiful wedding by the way!

OK - I am posting because I need help. Does anyone have a great plumber who knows something about water heaters? On a side note, don't buy a Sears Power Miser as they have a design flaw we have unfortunately discovered! The pilot light won't stay lit - it's only 3 years old, and after googling it, we found that we, along with about a million others have the exact same problem! :headache:

Thinking about replacing, but don't want to get taken - you know?:confused3

I don't recall what day it was in... but yes it was in there when he left! There were also pictures of our 3 year old... The older girls were in school when he left (I didn't take them out) so they were bummed that they weren't in the paper or on the tv like the little ones!

Sorry ColoradoMom, I can't help you. I am surprised over a Sears product with a major problem. Hope everything gets better for you!

Sure drivencrazy, you quote me when I have a typo. I would be bummed like you if it were just a couple of my kids in the newspaper! I certainly understand.

I can't help you yet, but I will ask around. I am sure someone here at work can recommend someone.

Good Morning

Just popping in to say hello before I start my morning routine.

I just found out this morning that my friend Dave, who lives over near Heidi and Cristi, is selling his artwork on Cafe Press. Here is the LINK. You can learn more about him and his technique on his website HERE. He is hoping to sell a lot of his ******* pictures with the DNC coming to town.

WOW, now that's talent!

that weasel looks like the ferret that just adopted us. :rotfl: Beautiful work.

Jrsy - Wow, wonderful work your friend does. Looks like we won't make it to Pirates Cove because my sister is coming up. Let me know the next time you go.

Jrsy-Your friend does nice work.

Babytrees-I want to hear more about your ferret!

Heidi-How fun that Stacey is coming up. Will she be there all weekend or only for the day? I bet you are looking forward to getting your hands on the twins. Speaking of twins how are the girls? When do they go back to school?

Drivencrazy-That is such a sweet picture. How cool it was in the paper.

Coloradomom-Don't think a Colorado Springs plummer would be of much help. Hope you find a good one soon.

Why do women always find somewhere else they have to be when there is the potential that I might be shirtless?

Sorry, it isn't you....it is me. ;)

Barb - Stacey is coming up for the day, it is the kids 3 year pictures and then dinner. :cool1: Anytime I can get my hands on my n&n, I am there!!! That takes all priority!

Our youngest has been saving for over a year for a ferret. Now, as I've said before we've had foxes, coons, skunks show up on our back porch. 3 Saturdays ago oldest DD yelled to me "Mom, there's a ferret on the porch":scared1:

By golly there was...it was obviously a pet because it let my DH pick it up and went willingly into the cat carrier. Did you all know there is a ferret rescue group in Denver:confused3 ...there is!! I contacted them and craigs list and hung up posters. We think the thing was dumped when they got tired of him. We also think he was stuck in a cage most of the time because he is just getting used to us.

SO.....the following Saturday (the rescue group only holds them 10 days before adopting them out...so we figured we hadn't one legitimate nibble in those 7 days) we went to PetSmart and everywhere we went we were asked "that ferret knew where to go didn't he?":rotfl2: (couldn't be the FULL cart or anything;) :lmao: )

that is how Dude came to adopt us (it is still ugly...but he is growing on me a bit)

I'm 'bout to the point of not buying anything from Sears. I have a long history with them of reeeeeeally bad things and really great things, but with the latest fiasco with our LG fridge, they are off our short list.

Have you thought about going with a tankless water heater this time? They last for 25 years and pay themselves off fairly quickly.

Theresa, what a way to get the pet he always wanted. Are you sure someone didn't "plant" him there for him? LOL

Barb, it was fun last night and I thought of you and Ethan at the photography studio. They did an awesome job and you are getting one in the Springs soon. I BELIEVE the name is Portrait Innovations.

My only complaint with Sears we've had was paint one year. It chalked within a few months. They came out and the result was more paint but we had to do it all over again ourselves. Needless to say I wasn't a happy camper.
