Colorado DISers ... where are you ?

UGH....Filled up my gas tank today in my Mustang. I STOPPED the pump at $50.00!!! It was not that long ago it cost $30 to fill it.

Well....... the pump stopped at $75 when I was filling my Explorer today... thankfully it's pretty much filled up!:) :scared1:

Do you have to put 91 in your Mustang? What year do you have?

My hubby can only use 91 or higher in his 04!:cool2:

Hi all - Barb sent me a link to this thread earlier today. I would never have thought to look in this forum for it, but what a fun thread! Nice to see stuff close to home!

I live in Woodbridge Station too, that's just crazy! Such a small world. DH works at the Fed Center too, also DOI. I work at city hall.

I'll bet my DD goes to the same school yours does! Were they paired up with a group from Idaho?? My DD will be going next year, and I'm planning on going too, since I've never been there.

Thornton is getting a CiCi's in the very near future.

Nice to meet you all - I read through all *64* pages, though ended up skimming a bit at the end. It's getting late! I can't believe that's just since March!

Wow! Small world... where about in Woodbridge do you live? We are on Hudson st. Does your daughter go to Rocky Top? We have a 7th grader there, wonder if they know eachother... I would be willing to put that info in a pm to find out!

We can't wait to have a CiCi's closer that will be nice!

I wish the gas stations would change the 75.00 stopping point. It is too easily met these days.

anybody want to hold my hand? I need to get gas today too.... :scared:

We're getting a new roof on today, so I'm getting ready to leave. The pounding is insane!

Our high school is getting a new principal next week and wondering if anybody up near the Springs had heard of him. Right now he is principal of Falcon MS. He seems to have been all over the Springs area...Don Begier.

Oh my gosh. I just put gas in the Pathfinder. I shopped a little but found 3.79 the cheapest. I also found 3.89. YIKES! TravelinGal, we should have filled up together and dried each others tears!

Darn, I should have filled up this morning. Gas jumped 13 cents. When I was driving in to work, gas was $3.66.

We didn't get the severe weather in Thornton, at least that I know of. When we went out at lunch we got pelted with soft hail, a little rain and strong winds. One of my lunch companions commented that it really looked like tornado weather - ironic, considering what it was doing at that exact moment 20 miles north of where we were. I didn't think anything more about the weather until late in the afternoon, when someone checked the internet. Sadly, there are no windows in the basement.

Sounds like Greely got hit pretty hard and Windsor got it even worse...

Hope everyone is OK.

Our new roof was on by 1pm and the house is SO much quieter now! (and the wind is blowing pretty hard near us - near DIA)

I didn't even think the wind creeping through the house was related to the poor roofing job, but obviously it was!

Everyone stay safe! If you were hit by the tornados today, post when you can - and let us know if there is any way we can help!

Windsor got hit very badly. The Hawaiian restaurant I wrote about is on Main Street there.

Hope everyone is ok!

I work at an Elementary School in Louisville and the rain and hail started just as the first graders went out to recess. We quickly brought them inside and all was fine although we did keep an eye on the weather reports.

My daughter is graduating from HS tomorrow night and we have a party planned for Saturday 10 -2 (a brunch open house.) I hope the weather is ok since we can't fit everyone in the house:goodvibes

Val - I was telling DH about that tonight. (and I corrected my post... winston/windsor... you know what I meant, right? ;) -- clearly I don't know the small towns outside Metro denver very well!)

COBuffMom - hope you all have a lovely party tomorrow. Plan for wind - get lots of clamps for table clothes (if used) and use real plates instead of paper/plastic if you can. ;)
ConGRADulations to your DD!

That's a great idea about the clamps. It is always windy isn't? Thanks for the good wishes for my daughter. We are quite proud. She is off to Colorado School of Mines in the fall. I'm getting my Kleenex ready for tomorrow night.

It's supposed to be espescially windy tomorrow....I don't think my kid is going to wear a tank for the graduation she's playing for.

Congratulations to your DD....School of Mines is an awesome school. :thumbsup2

I know what you meant ;) I had the news on as I was posting, and it was all over the news, so I really had no excuses.

Congratulations to your DD, COBuffMom! School of Mines is a great school, you must be so proud!

See you at grad! Best Wishes to M!

Ours is off to the school of engineering at CU. He has been working on an RNAi project and all his mentors were there, so he didn't even apply anywhere else. I am going to have to steal your screen name :-)

Best wishes to all up in Windsor and surrounding towns. We are supposed to be up in Windsor next weekend for the Special Olympics State meet (gymnastics). Although our team is small, hopefully we can do something for the good people hosting the meet!

Best Wishes to Z also. How exciting that he is going to CU. Actually I am going back to work at CU in the Housing Department starting June 2. I may have to become MinesMom :-)

See ya tonight

We have some really good friends in Windsor and finally got to talk to them today... he was out of town and found out what was happening while in the lunchroom, seen his Church - gone - and his house, 1/2 of it is pretty much gone, the neighbors is totally gone. He couldn't get a hold of his wife. Thankfully she had gone to another town for lunch with a friend (left cell in car) so when he FINALLY got ahold of her and filled her in on what had happened she headed home. She stayed there lastnight with no power and no windows on one side of the house, the car port and garage are gone as well as all the trees...

As he was on his way from DIA he called us to fill us in on what he could. Sitll waiting to hear back from him after he finds out what all is going on. We plan on heading up there to do what all we can... but can't do that till they open the town up to others, right now NOBODY is allowed unless they live there.

Prayers for all who are dealing with this now.
