Colorado Cruisers

Thanks Guys...

Heidi - I can see going to work at 6:00am being a problem, but fortunately I don't have to be there till 8:15, so I have time.

I did get to the gym at 6:00 today and worked out an hour, but still felt rushed when I got home. Tomorrow I'm shooting for 5:30am :earseek: I might have to cut my workouts down to maybe 40 minutes and be happy with that.

Sandy - I'm so close to my WW goal, I just want to GET there :)

Here is some places where the moose won't step on you, but the cabins are on the lake.
Lazy Moose Cabins
Columbine Cabins
Lemmon Lodge
Thanks for the suggestions, Heidi. We ended up booking at The Inn at Grand Lake, in part due to a $20 off coupon online. Also, by changing our date by one week we got a suite that was listed at $170 for our first choice of weekends for only $90 (not including the $20 off)! Turns out there was a big wedding booked for our first choice of weekends and it sounded like half the town was booked up for it.

I am glad you found a place. It it so beautiful up there. Have fun!!!!

Good Morning!

Another foggy day in Colorado! I have to admit I love this weather.

Jrsy Boy-Where is Grand Lake? Sounds really nice. Is it just a camp ground or is there a town like Estes Park? I love to visit Estes Park. We have not been there for a while. Time to go!

Tera- Congrats on almost hitting your goal!!

Grand Lake is basically at the west end of Trail Ridge Road. If you started in Estes Park and took Trail Ridge Road, you'd end up in Grand Lake. This is our first trip up there but it looks like a pretty good sized town. Compared to Estes Park, I don't know though.
We were actually just up in Estes Park about three weeks ago. I swear that town has barely changed since my brother lived in Raymond back in 1987!

So was I, only I was driving about 12 people up to the Power Plant and Dams that my agency built and manages in Estes Park and Loveland. Gotta love work field trips, but hey atleast I got some taffy at Estes!!!!

Good Morning Everyone!

Heidi-Who is it you work for again? What do you do?

I am loving this foggy weather. Heard it is going to clear up today.

Hi guys, been going through some rough times with a friend who is hospitalized at Lutheran. We leave for our Panama Canal cruise this Friday. I pray our friend will be out of the woods by then.

Hi to all.

Barb - I work for the Bureau of Reclamation. I am a Human Resources Specialist and do recruitment, staffing, and classification. I have been here for 2 years!!!!! I love my job.

Went to work this morning and it was 57 degrees, when I get off work it is supose to be 87 degrees outside, Fall weather is just around the corner!!!!

Did you get backed up in the repaving traffic or didn't you take 36? We made out OK on the way up, but got stuck for a pretty long time on the way back. Good thing we had Oskar Blues to look forward to in Lyons!

Good Morning

Can someone tell me how many Disney stores are in the Denver area now and where they are? I know about Park Meadows but seems I remember hearing there was more then one in Denver. Has anyone heard if they are planning on reopening one in the Springs?

Thanks

Does anyone know someone that would want a Free Dachshund?

My daughter has a new baby and a tiny apartment. She is no longer able to keep him because he is needing more attention then she has time for. Plus he really needs a yard. I am trying to find him a home so he does not get taken to the humane society.

Franz is about 2 years old and short haired red dachshund. He is very loveable and really needs a family that will love him back. :dog:

Shhhhh! :ssst: DW & DS-I-L probably already feel a stirring in The Force. They would both take him in a flash, much to the dismay of their respective DH's. Our home is already considered a retirement home for dogs. :sad2:

heeheehee
I know what you mean! I have 2 dogs and 2 cats or I would take him
my huband didn't even want pets and now we have 4!

Barb

Hi guys, sorry Barb but I don't know of anyone wanting a dog. We are finally pet free and can travel without worry. It is a nice feeling so we won't be taking anymore pets on.

Well, this is my goodbye. We leave tomorrow for our Panama Canal cruise. Keep this thread going!

Nope, we made it out okay.....we took 36 back home. That was such a long day. We left at 6:45 and got back at 5:30....I will never let anyone volunteer me to do that again!!!!

Sandy - Have a BLAST!!!! I can't wait to read your trip report and POST pictures :teeth:

Barb - Sorry, we had 3 dogs & a cat, but had to put one of our dogs down a few weeks ago. I'm definitely not ready for another animal :guilty:

I hope they get 70 taken care of before next week. We leave next Thursday for camping at Pearl Lake.

Good morning all!!! I had a very busy weekend. My cousins spent the night Thursday night and we went to Red and Jerry's and spent $60...ya didn't think I would spend that much $$$$!!!! Then I took them swimming to Pirates Cove on Friday. We had a lot of fun. Went to the Bronco game against the 49ers, they won...too bad it was preseason!!!

I talked with my mom last on Saturday at about 6:30. They did not have a very good start so I am hoping they have a better day. When they got to the hotel on Friday, their shampoo and lotions exploded and the ziploc bag exploded so there was junk all over their luggage. Then when they were going to their state room to see if their luggage was their, their suitcases were OPEN and had been gone through and their stuff was all over the hallway. When they found that, that was the last I had talked to them. I hope they have had a better trip. I was on the phone with my mom when they blew the horn, that was the best excitement for me this weekend!!!

So you were in MY neck of the woods. You can practically throw a stone and hit my house from either of those destinations. Did you notice that the Del Taco at Broadway and Belleview is now open? You wouldn't believe the line at the drive-thru yesterday afternoon!

:wizard: Sending some pixie dust to your mom...
