Colorado Cruisers

Happy Mother's Day to all of the Mom's out there!
Sandy~ Where do you guys live? We are at Coal Mine and Pierce.

Oh Cristi, that is sooo close. Heidi just bought a condo right at Webster and Coal Mine and we are at Parkhill (one blk so of Bowles) and Wadsworth. We have lived in this house for 30 years. Howdy neighbor!!

Quote from Pooh Friend#1: Blackunicorn - How long have you worked for the Disney store? I am sure my mom and I would have seen you atleast once, we always have to stop by the Disney store and check out the new merchandise!!
I’ve worked there for just over a year and a half. However, I only work weekends, so I don’t know if you’ve seen me! I’m the bumbling one who messes up a lot... :flower: Ask for Dawn if you're in.
Quote from jiminyC fan: BlackUnicorn, I worked for the Disney Store at SW Plaza as Holiday help one year. It was my spending money for our first cruise. That is some drive for you!
We have a couple of people from SW in the store now–I don’t know how long it’s been since you worked, so I don’t know if you’d recognize them. It is a bit of a drive, but until the stores were sold, my Disney discount more than covered it! Now, I still love the job, but I keep hoping that they’ll open a store in the Springs again sooooooon.
Quote from Jrsy Boy: NO! It is based on the first book of the five book trilogy by Douglas Adams.
Five? I only counted four. I wonder which one I’m missing? I’m pleased to say that I saw Hitchhiker on opening night, and I took a towel. My children were terribly embarassed and refused to carry towels. (They were still embarassed even after they found out what the towel was for. )

If anyone is interested, Park Meadows got in a shipment of the NEW Disney Dollars in $1, $5, and $10 denominations. They're going fast, so if you want some, hop on in! I forgot to get mine while I was in :sad2: but hopefully there will still be some next weekend. (There probably would have been plenty if I hadn't felt the need to tell everyone about them! :flower: )

Cristi - We have to be neighbors!!!

Dawn - On a weekend, my mom and I might have to stop up at the Disney store to say hello to you. I just tried to get Disney $$ at the SW store but they didn't have any. I didn't believe they were going that fast, but they must be.

Teresa - the weather has been beautiful here, a little windy though. I hope you are having fun on the ship, I think you are at Day at Sea today.

Have you read "Mostly Harmless"? I bought it at a used bookstore at Broadway and Ridge Road back in August. Now I see that you can buy all five books in one volume - The Ultimate Hitchhiker's Guide, I think.

I got my shoe holder at the Walmart at Quincy and Wadsworth last summer. I think it was around $6 or $7.

Oh, I bought the hanger one at Dollar Tree. After all, it was only a dollar. Figured if I found one I liked better, I wouldn't feel bad about not using it. Thanks for the continuing flow of sources for stuff.

What kind of books are the hitchhiker books? I am assuming you would recommend them since you have read them all. I read a lot and like most stuff.....as long as Oprah doesn't like them and they haven't won any awards....also not big on romances. Anything esle, bring it on. maybe I should pick these up.
I live at Broadway and Salford (highlands Ranch Parkway), and I was just at that bookstore Saturday....small world!
How about this weather!!!! :sunny: :sunny: :sunny:

I am loving this weather!!! Too bad I am stuck inside at work, I have extreme spring fever and need to get outside in the sun. :sunny:

Hi guys,

I think that it is so funny that so many of us on this thread live very close to each other. It definitely is a small world.

Teresa must be having a time of her life and forgot all of us here in CO.

Jen, Heidi's twin sister (my other daughter) lives by the whale pool. That has to be very close to you.

Constanze, you were very wordy today. lol

A very humorous take on Science Fiction. There is one line in particular that I sort of remember being something like "The Vogon ships floated in exactly the same way that a brick wouldn't." If you give the first one a try and end up liking it, you'll likely enjoy all of them.

At that same bookstore, same visit, I found a copy of Thinner by Richard Bachman which was the edition that came out before anyone knew that Richard Bachman was actually Stephen King. It even has a picture of some other guy on the back of the dust jacket.

Hey this is cool a thread for Colorado Cruisers!!

Can I join in the fun?

Hi Sandy and Heidi!

Barb

Barb - You found us, YAY!!!! :bounce: :Pinkbounc Now all we need is your mom to find this thread too!!!

How is Ethan doing Nana?

Hi Heidi

Yep I found it. Now I need to read all the other posts to see what is going on. :teeth:

Welcome Barb! The more the merrier! Sandy, I do live close to your daughter. About a mile away. Everyone do a rain/bad weather dance to keep the clouds away. We are supposed to do a girls day down on 3rd street in Cherry Creek to celebrate all of our birthdays and it is supposed to be cold! It's just not right :) , I am ready for SUN :sunny: , all day everyday, no exceptions (alright a short rainstorm in the middle of a beautiful day is okay) :) :) .
Hope all are well!

Thanks Jennat!!

I am so hoping that it rains here in Colorado Springs. We are on such strict water restrictions I am praying for rain every day! Do you have water restrictions up there?

Barb

 Hello everyone. A special welcome to our friend Barb, Mickey 02. BlackUnicorn, she is the one I was talking about that is from the Springs.

Do you think that Teresa will take the time to post? I mean come on.....a family cruise first and us last?? What is wrong with that woman?

That's pretty cool. Jen lives close to one dd and Cristi lives close to my other dd,Heidi (PoohFriend).

Teresa if you do read this, tell DCLCruiser hello if you see him.

Barb, I don't think that we are on water restrictions. I think only Aurora so far.

Thanks Jimmy C

I actually met up with Tera on Saturday's Deck Party, it was fun seeing them all. Beyond that time to go see Wild & Haines.

Heidi is with me, DCLcruiser. We are confused with Wild & Haines. Is that onboard entertainment? Great to hear from you. Boy do I ever have something to share with you!
