hi everyone--im working on making my schedule for next semester.. i have to take 15 credits=5 classes
i can either spread them out to take 3 on monday and wednesday, 2 on tuesday and thursday and have friday off..
or i can take all 5, back to back, monday and wednesday--then have tuesday, thursday, friday off
i really cant decide what to do....I commute to school-45 min eaach way, which is why im even considering the 2 days a week...by doing that, i would b e saving probably 6 hours a week of driving time..
After school, every day, i babysit 2 kids from 2:30-8...Monday-Friday..
so basically im just trying to get opinions of anyone that took that many classes in 1 day--is it impossible? or were u glad to get the extra days off? Thanks

I currently have 4 classes on Monday and Wednesday and the other days off. When I made my schedula it was the best for me because I also commute to school. However, now that I am on the crew team and have to be at school every day my gas saving attempts were futile. But it really works for me. I love the freedom on the other days. But that's just my opinion.

kali..thanks--im kinda leaning towards trying to get 2 days of classes--my days will be 8-4...then i will go directly to pick up the kids i babysit (they will go to aftercare those 2 days)....fortunately, i wont have to go to school for any other reason, excpet class, so gas saving is something im really looking into ...thanks again..any other ideas?

I tried taking all of my classes on the same days before (M,W,R) and I was VERY sorry. By the end of the 3rd class of the day, my brain was much.....All I wanted to do was go home and sleep.. I'm sure it works well for sume, but not for me.
Good luck with your decision.

I always scheduled my classes for Tuesday and Thursdays and it worked great for me. Five classes will be pushing it, four is a lot more do-able. Then you can do two courses, a lunch break, and two more on those days.

I agree with smilingmouse.

I was thinking it sounds like a loooonnnnggg day. Listening and paying attention to lectures can be a real effort even when you are fresh.

I definitely wouldn't do that. Right now, on Tuesdays I have one class from 3:30-6:15 and another one right after it from 6:30-9. ...Thats the equivalent of four classes at my school, and it just drains me completely. I think you would really be feeling it if 2 or 3 of your teachers decided to give tests on the same day. You might have to spend some extra time in the car the other way, but I think your brain would much appreciate it....and your back too, its so hard to sit still for that long.

No freaking way would I sign up for all five classes on same days. You will be much happier with three on MW and two on TT. You will drive more, but preparing for each class, papers, tests, it all adds up. You need to spread them out so the daily information from each class does not run together. Having Fridays off is a bonus all by itself.

100 years ago, when I went to college, one semester I did all my classes on M-W-F. I had a 45 minute commute and I didn't want to deal with it 5 days a week. Well, I hated it. It turned every W & F into Monday! I never did it again.

you know I read this wrong the first time and for some reason thought you wanted to take four classes a day. Now that I see that it's all 5 I have to agree with raider93 and say no way. Three classes is plenty to wear you out, five would be torture

Thanks everyone..ive been going back and forth all day....wait a pain ahha..thankfully i dont have to decide yet! thanks for your help
