I was wondering if anyone has ever participated in the Disney College Program the semester after you have graduated.

I will be graduating this May and was looking at doing the program in the Fall.

Is this a good idea or not? Has anyone else done this?

Thanks!

I graduate in May, and have applied/patiently waiting for my acceptance for the FA'10 program. I know there are a bunch of us that are graduating then doing the program. :)

I believe that you only have to be enrolled at the time of application and the interview. I actually graduated (with associates degree) from my community college last spring and have been working full time to earn some money. I want to get my Ph.d in marine biology, and I can't exactly do that here (which is illinois) so my frist plan was to join the navy. Well that didn't work out for one reason or another so I was looking for another way to go down to Florida and establish residency and earn some money. I found the Disney college program and was so excited because I love everything about disney. And, plus, I've always wanted to work for Disney. So, anyways, I did my research and found out that you have to be enrolled at time of application and interview to be eligible for the program. I went and talked to my advisor to see if I could sign up for a class after I graduated, I explained to her my situation and she let me!

So yeah, I think you're ok for signing up the last semester.

This is what I plan on doing and from everything I've heard it's just as great as doing it during school.

I did it following graduation. I went from my CP to a PI to FT and now I'm on a TA (that's a lot of acronyms). It was nice because some people up and quit school and I would have been mad at myself over that. Others leave, finish school, and return - but I would have hated leaving Disney. Others just transfer to FL to finish, but it always seems to take them a little longer to graduate.

I did the CP after graduating (I'm actually still on the CP now). I think it's a good idea to do it that way.
