FWIW the poll is at espn.com, and they have Nebraska at #26, but Va Tech and Penn State are farther down the list.

I root for Ohio State. They graduated a lot of their heart n soul. Don't think this will be a good year for them. Biggest rival is Michigan and the band doing script Ohio is the biggest tradition.

I root for them too. I think, considering the players they've lost, they may be rated too high. But I can't tell. I'm excited to see how the new QB will do.

GO SEC! Especially those fighting tigers of LSU! While I can't say we will be in the national championship again this year (we have some tough road games - Auburn, Georgia and Florida).

I have one thing in common with USC - cupcakes. I eat them, they play them.

LSU tradition - Party all day then get crazy watching LSU football with 92,000 of your closest friends in Death Valley, where only tigers survive!

Yes, the fellow poster may have gotten caught up and think that was a BCS poll, but the BCS does "stink" as of now. They have decided that strength of schedule is no longer a factor in the rankings, which is not right. So yeah, basically, that does "stink," to put it a little more nicely.

I find it funny that people get all worked up about pre-season polls. If I was an LSU fan I would be thrilled not to have the "Curse" of being #1. How many times does the #1 team go all the way (see Auburn!)
