First thing to do would be to check if those schools do the common application. If they do you can save a lot of time essay wise. Secondly I would talk to admissions counselors to try and get a sense of what the school looks for essay wise. I applied to small private liberal arts colleges that wanted creative and personal essays. Other colleges may more be concerned with the correctness of the format, grammar, and language used in an essay. My best advice is to just make sure that what you write means something to you. You need something that makes your application stand out among thousands or more essays.
