Hi there! Beth, thanks for the support! I do crack myself up. Since I am training for a half marathon, running a few 5Ks later this fall will be a snap!
Well I survived a trip home visiting family in MI. The wedding was nice. I didn't eat too badly but not one person told me how great I looked. Oh well. Good thing I am doing all of this for me. Just to be a vile sister, I look better than my sister.
I talked it over with DH and I decided to run my 3 miler Monday run on Saturday so I wouldn't be too tired for the wedding celebration. I had a great run which I ran for time on an asphalt bike route. It was wooded and very cool with hardly any humidity in MI. I felt GREAT! I brought home cherries, blueberries, cinnamon bread, strawberry preserves and even homeade dog treats form the farmer's market. I blew my whole ATM cash wad right at the market, but I was happy & feeling celebratory. As I was stuffing cherries and blueberries into my mouth my mom wanted to know if I made it to the church in the next town as she thought it was about 3 miles. This amused me as it took her some time to realize I only ran about 1.5 miles in one direction --- then I had to TURN AROUND! The sad thing was I had waited around the house hoping my Dad would get up and come biking as he had mentioned, but he didn't get up. Oh well. Story of my life.
I rested Sunday & Monday. DH had a job interview on Monday in Michigan. Thank the stars for Kohls as we were able to haul his blazer in there and buy matching pants. I had a 'feeling' and had asked him if he wanted to pack his suit, but nope he declined. Of course they rang him on his cell when we were half way to Michigan... The interview went well, but he hasn't heard anything and he really wants this job. I took DS to see 'Ratatoulle' and it was cute.
On Tuesday morning I ran the 8 miler on my parent's TM. It really wasn't too bad. I did 5 miles in one hour and 2 minutes, then I ran/walked another 3 in about 38 minutes. I stopped a few times to stretch out and do laundry, go to the bathroom, etc. The rest of the day I was lounging in the truck as we wound our way south back to the misery of August in St. Louis. Wednesday my legs weren't really working right so I walked 3 miles. Thursday I ran 35 minutes on a tiny track (18 laps = 1 mile) and walked the rest of the hour. I was able to watch DS in the gym below at his last basketball drill camp. I am hoping I can continue to just work my exercise into our daily routines. Anyway, I think I am just a mile short this week for my marathon training. Not bad. I have no idea how many times I went around that Y track, but I was so thankful to be in an air conditioned building I couldn't complain about the constant turns. I guess I'll be getting up nearly predawn to manage 9 miles this weekend. We are under an excessive heat warning and it is misery at the moment just to walk outside.
DH was very perturbed last week as he had no bites yet for a job. Then the Michigan job led to a face to face interview this past Monday. He also had phone interviews for 2 jobs in Indiana and one in Minnesota. He is flying to MN late next week for an interview. He has sort of quieted down about moving. I think I'd like a change but I can't say much as this is hard for him to move into the unknown. My stress level is ummm, pretty bad right now. I haven't signed up for any 5Ks yet as I'm not sure if DH will be around to watch DS this fall. And WDW in September? Will I forgive DH if he cannot make it due to a new job?

I suppose this could truly happen, but thankfully my parents are meeting us in WDW, so I'll have 2 other adults to corral the 6 yo. Hopefully in the next 10 days DH will have garnered 1-2 job offers and we can decide what to do.
