Has anyone ever flown after having collapsed lung? My husband had one a few weeks ago, it is healing, but there is still air in his chest cavity. Wondering if anyone has flown after this and how they have done. It will be almost 2 months after when we fly.

Christine, did you husband ever fly in the end?...i have this same problem now! due to have the op...and fly in two months...advice if you have it please? :-/

I have. I had lung cancer surgery in March 2012 and lost 1/2 of my left lung. Doctor said I couldn't fly for 3 months due to him deflating lung during surgery. I got a final ok in June and everything was fine. Call your doctor if you are not sure. The could tell by my CT scan that I was ok to fly.
