Colin was baptized at mass this morning.
Everything was really nice and went pretty well...but of course, since DS is still a baby , there were a few exceptions:
1. Colin spit up on his gown right after we arrived and I told the lady in charge that he's not a spitter.
2. Colin was REALLY cranky during the ceremony held before the actual mass, but he calmed down and fell asleep before mass actually started.
3. Colin pooped while we were walking down the ailse to the back of the church to do the actual baptism (DH felt and and then we all smelled it) and there was nothing we could do! And to make matters worse, after the baptism, the priest brings the baby to the middle of the church and holds the baby up (kinda like the lion king) for everyone to see, so I KNOW he HAD to smell Colin when he picked him up over his head!
Here are a few pics:
This is Colin in his gown. I'm sure he'll LOVE these pics when he's older and has a girlfriend. The gown is actually over 50 years old. It was originally made for my mom for her baptism. My mom wore it, her two brothers, all 5 grandkids (including me), and 2 out of 3 great-grandkids.
This is DH, me, and Colin's Godparents, my best friend and her husband.
And here's a pic from the actual baptism.

He is a cutie. And you guys are looking great, your smile as always. And with 'actually over 50 years old, you make it sound sooooo ancient.
It's not THAT old, actually young.
But truly, as said, a trasure it is. How nice a family tradition Colin was able to be part of.
