COLD

It's going to be so cold here today and tomorrow that the forecaster just stated that she wouldn't be surprised if schools were cancelled or delayed tomorrow due to the frigid temps. She also said that it's going to be so cold and frigid, frost bite could set in within 5-10 minutes . They are urging people to stay in if at all possible.

The news also showed clips of ice cutters going thru Boston Harbor to cut thru the frozen harbor. I normally don't mind the cold, but this is ridiculous!

Brrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr, baby it's cold out. My heat bill is going to be BIG $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$ But at this point it will be worth it. Keep warm everyone and you Floridians, PLEASE send some sun and warmth up here

Our phones have been ringing all day today with inquiries of our temperatures. Yes it is cold up here, even by our standards. Over the past twenty four hours, the lowest wind chill was 102 degrees below zero... but I can tell you, it felt more like 500 below to me! Once again we have recorded a new record low today of 45 degrees below zero. Now our focus shifts to Thursday night, when a low moves by while intensifying over the Canadian Maritimes, driving even more cold air into the region. There have been talks of fifty degrees below zero Fahrenheit, which would break New Hampshire's state record low of minus 47, which was set up here in 1934. Wow, was it really this past June that we tied our own record high of 72 degrees?

Now, don't you feel better about the temperature where you live?

At 6:30 this morning here, it was -30 outside, which is a record temp for us...Right now, at 9:30 it is -10 in the sun! Not very good weather and yet they still had school today! I don't understand that at all...how can schools make kids go to school in 30 degree below weather?? Okay, so maybe it is just me, but I just thought this was wrong!! LOL

Anyway, hoping it will get a little warmer today...at least out of the negatives!! Sheesh!

Thanks for the heads up about the ice breakers in Boston Harbor. We were going back and forth about how to get to Logan on Saturday between Logan Express, and Harbor Express out of Quincy. If the ice breakers are already out, and the temps are only getting colder, we're taking the bus!!
