I thought it would be a nice chilly day for chili but the darned weather warmed up to 75. I wont enjoy it nearly as much as I would have if it were 50 outside. Does that make me strange or does anyone else have "chilly" weather foods?

Beef stew w/fresh bread and good, hearty soups.

My wife made our first vat of chili yesterday.

Her world-class seafood stew must be coming up very soon!

I actually made peach cobbler today. It's so drizzly out and it smells so good baking. :flower:

Definitely chili, can't wait to make some soon.

I made pumpkin bread this weekend :goodvibes It made the house smell so good. Its been rainy and cold, perfect weather for warm pumpkin bread.

Chilli is my all time favorite cold weather food. I also like wieners and baked beans.

Sloppy joes are another favorite.

Pot roast and mashed potatoes.

DH made a big pot of chili for a bonfire party we went to over the weekend. I think a big batch of Beef and Noodles is on the horizon! YUM! I love cold weather comfort foods!

We had tomato soup and cream cheese and olive sandwiches for lunch, then I baked a chocolate cake for tonight. Stuff we usually don't have in the warm weather.
Oh, and home made Pea Soup is something I only make in the colder weather.

Chilli is definitely a cold weather food. So is any kind of soup (especially grammy's corn chowdah). And apple crisp cannot be eaten on a hot night. It's best served hot, with cold whipped cream, on a 30 degree night at the local fair :goodvibes

OOOH, I forgot about my mom's Pea Soup and Dumplings! I'll have to make a special request for that! She loves making it, and I love eating it!!!

Well, it's raining and 48 degrees here. Send up the chili!

Yesterday I made a beef stew in the slow cooker. That's good cold weather food. Also, clam chowder and corn chowder. And gingerbread with whipped cream is my favorite cold weather dessert. :)

Roast chicken with gravy, stuffing and mashed potatoes
Pot Roast...with gravy, of course
Fish Chowder
Spaghetti and Meatballs
Yesterday we had baked haddock with gruyere cheese, shallots, wine and breadcrumbs and today we had an Oktoberfest menu of bratwurst, potato pancakes and sauerkraut. All yummy.
To make any meal seem fall-like include apples (microwave sliced apples with a little butter and cinnamon...yum!), butternut squash...great roasted or cooked and mashed with...what else? butter and cinnamon! Oh and brown sugar or maple syrup; and I love braised Brussels sprouts in butter and garlic.

CHILI, CHILI, CHILI! Now I WANT some chili!!
