Cold Stories..

It's 30 degrees here, very cold for Dallas but warm for other parts of the country. Wondered if anyone else has some cold weather stories???

I grew up in NE Montana, one of the coldest spots in the country. 30 would be a heat wave there right now

An airbase close to my hometown was used in the movie Firefox with Clint Eastwood The scenes taken there were the ones depicting Siberia, it looked like home to me

I remember going to a concert once in HS and when we left it was fairly warm (I imagine it colder than I remember) but when we got back to the school it was -40, several people on the bus had cars waiting but since they hadn't been plugged in all day they wouldn't start. It was quite a conversation piece when we brought cars from MT to TX, no one knew what to make of the electric plug that was in the front of the car. We just told them we had electric cars there and I think a few believed us.

I visited in the winter more than 20 years ago and let my parents know I'd be back only in the summer Talked to them today and they said it was almost warm 7degrees Definately a matter of opinion.

Sorry for being dumb...but what was the plug for? I assume it was to help start a car in the cold weather, but what did it plug into?

You plug it into an electric outlet. It means you can start your car in the morning after a cold night. I think that some of you are colder than we are up here in Canada. It has been -17 C with a wind chill factor of -30 C. When you convert it I think some of you are colder than we are.

Its 61 degrees, but, I am STILL COLD!! It snowed in Daytona Beach yesterday.....flurries.

My husband used to have a diesel Olds that he had to plug in at night during winter. He hated that car.
