Cold Stone Creamery

So funny that this post popped up tonight...

DH and I went w/ two friends tonight. I got the three-add-in medium size and it was $3.xx... I got the fat-free, sugar-free ceam with marshmallow cream, graham crackers and chocolate syrup for a "s'mores" do-it-yourself. It was SOOOO good ...

Yeah, we too were suprised at how much two ice creams cost, but it was very delicious! We got two of their creations in waffle bowls that weren't dipped in chocolate or sprinkles. We spent just over $11 for the two of us, but it did include one can of coke.

It'll be a nice now and then treat, but definitely not a weekly one!
Ben and Jerry CAN be weekly, thats why its so cheap! :p :thumbsup2

Nope, not me, I will take my Ben and Jerry's for 3.00 a pint ANY day instead of that! :lmao:

Exactly!!!
I did go to Cold Stone last week when they were sponsoring a fund raiser.
Honestly, I haven't had anything there I couldn't live without.
Now, don't take away my New York Super Fudge Chunk!!!!

My Dad worked for Louis Sherry and Haagen Dazs till he retired so it SHOCKS me to even pay for a spoonful of ice cream. We always had a freezer FULL of ice cream!

I had a certificate for Cold Stone and we made one visit. It was good but not THAT good. I guess being an ice cream brat took away the thrill for me.

But we were the most POPULAR kids in town for years!

Someone tell me what this cold stone place is. What is so special about it. Ive been in the UK for 4 years so Im not caught up with my restaraunts and ice cream places. Some one please give me the 411.

It's fabulous! You pick out whatever kind of ice cream you want, and then you get to pick something to mix in with it. They scoop out the ice cream and put it on a really cold marble slab. Then they make an indentation in the middle of the ice cream and put your mix-in in it. Then they mix it all up. For example, I always get the cake batter ice cream with Oreo cookies mixed in. It's soooooo good! They also have set combinations that you can choose from (that have the ice cream and mix-ins already picked out). You can get it in a bowl or cone or waffle bowl.

Darn it! Now I want some!

Cold Stone

that place really has great ice cream! i think that every once in a while it's worth it to spoil yourself. but if i'm getting my regular "once a week" ice cream i still go to Dairy Queen lol.

Cold Stone cakes are very very very good too! But they are almost $40.00. I still like Dairy Queen's Peanut Buster Parfait's the best!

The Cold Stone Ice Cream taste similar to Schwan's, although I think Schwan's is a bit better. The catch is the mix-ins, which you could do at home for a lot less.

OOOOOOOOOOHHHHHHH !!!!!!!!!!!!! My ultimate favorite. I have a hard time passing it by at the grocery store. I indulge twice a year and eat the WHOLE thing !!!!!!!!! :woohoo: :woohoo: :woohoo:

I LOVE Cold Stone!! There Cake Batter is to dye for!! It is pricy, but it's WORTH it!

The price is crazy! I don't like CSC personally and the one closest to us just closed.

I just spent a tad over $40 on an ice cream outing for my family of 5. How crazy are we today in our society?! :confused3

(But it sure was delish!)
wowee! we went there this week and for 4 of us i paid under $15 and that included a tip! what did you order?

Thanks for the info. Sounds fantastic. Just another thing for me to do when I get to fly back to the states for a visit. This wont happen until (MAYBE) next summer. Ill just have to dream about it instead. You know it is funny the things you miss when you dont have them. IHOP, Dennys, crazy things like that.

Thanks
Kerri

I am not fond of the ice cream. DH and I have tried a couple of things and found them only OK. The cakes on the other hand are fabulous! Maybe it's just the consistency - I don't really like soft ice cream like that.

I've never heard of Cold Stone Creamery. Around here, we have Gifford's, a Maine legend. Yum. Pricey, though not like what I've read about Cold Stone Creamery. I can only convince DH to go out for ice cream once or twice a year. We generally buy Edy's at the grocery store and I keep cones handy in the cupboard. :)

We were just there for the fundraiser they were doing on Thursday for Make a Wish. You got a small serving of a certain flavor for free. Can't beat that. The interesting thing though was that neither of my boys even finished theirs. The chocolate was just too strong of a flavor. One just opened up very close to us and we had been to one further away a few times, but not often because yeah, they are very expensive.

I loooove the German-chocolatekake! :cool1: :lovestruc It's a once every six months kinda thing, though becasue the medium (Love It) size has over 1,000 calories! :scared1:
