DS and I just went out for ice cream (yes it's only 19 degrees here, but ice cream is good anytime:teeth: ) The opened a Cold Stone Creamery here a few months ago but we've never been there before. I think it's nationwide?? They had some great flavors, Cake Batter, Pumpkin, Candy Cane....I had coffee ice cream with chocolate chips and DS had Candy Cane with Oreos....I can't wait to try another flavor! So if you have one near you, what's your favorite combination???

Edited to fix the name, that was pretty funny sorry ! :teeth:

I love it!!!!! The cake batter ice cream is sooooooo good! My favorite is cake batter with cookie dough, though the chocolate and peanut butter creation is good too.

It's Cold Stone Creamery, not Stone Cold. My dad always calls it that, too. :teeth:

I prefer a nice sweet cream ice cream with blackberries and black cherries (and sometimes some chopped walnuts or pecans). The sweet cream doesn't really have it's own flavor, so it nicely picks up the flavor of whatever you put in it. Mmmmmm... :D

My mother calls it that all the time too! lol!

I got addicted on it this summer. Sadly, Boston doesn't have one :( You can bet that when I go home this weekend I'm heading there, ready to eat my Peanut Butter Perfection!

I've never heard of the Cold Stone Creamery but I've been to the Marble Slab Creamery, probably about the same thing. They openned one in the Crossroads Shopping Center along with a Quizno's Subs!! YUM! We were so stuffed after eating at Quizno's last time we were in the area so didn't get any ice cream. I tried to explain it to my husband but he just didn't get it. Next time we are in the area, forget lunch, we are having ice cream!!

At the Marble Slab here in Chattanooga, I ordered Blueberry Cheesecake. They took cheesecake ice cream and mixed fresh blueberries in to it. Absolutely delicious! Espeically with a homemade waffle cone. Dang, now I want some ice cream.

BTW, has anyone eaten at Brewsters? We just had one open close to my house, but eating ice cream when it's 30 degrees is not high on my list of things to do.

My DS was just telling me about this ice cream!!!

He went to one in Colorado when he was on vacation and love it!!

He is moving to State college Pa this summer and he just found out that there is one there!

Oh Man! I love the ice cream from Cold Stone! Peanut Butter Cup Perfection is my favorite!! ::yes::

I also love the Pumkin ice cream they had over the holidays!

Oh gosh.. Get the "sweet cream" and have them put orange flavoring in it, then use the fresh pineapple! It's the bomb!

I'm lucky, we have both Cold Stone AND Marble Slab here in Memphis less than two miles away! Or wait...maybe my hips would say UNLUCKY!

Darn it, now I'm hungry and it's 1am... I am about to go to WalMart and buy ice cream...NO, WAIT! Steak and Shake is open and I can get a peach shake!

Whoever started this thread is EVIL!

I became addicted to the Cold Stone experience many years ago in, of all places, Anchorage Alaska. They have 4 of them there. I guess the guy who opened them has always been an Alaskan fan, and was willing to test the truth of the statistic that Alaskans eat more ice cream per indivudual than any other state. And the theory seems to be working.

They just opened one in my town in Oregon, and I've already been twice......and am loving the new "sinless" Sweet Cream.....with my standard add-in of raspberries. To die for!

We have a Brewsters about a mile from us, a Cold Stone maybe 15-20 minutes away, and a Maggie Moo's (same concept as Cold Stone) about 2 miles from us. Of the three, I think Maggie Moo's is the best, then Brewsters, then Cold Stone.

I've never had any other flavor besides the Sweet Cream Yogurt. I won't even let myself try the regular ice cream because I don't want to know how good it is, I have to stick with the low fat stuff.

I usually get sweet cream yogurt with just caramel and sometimes with some pecans. If DH and I are sharing we will get caramel with bananas, no pecans.

The one by us used to have broken up waffle cones as a mix in, but they don't have that any more, that was yummy!

Well, I can't believe I'm not up past 300lbs since we have a Cold Stone, Brewsters, Maggie Moo's, and Marble Slab all within a few miles (plus a local place called Holy Cow that does the marble slab thing). I haven't tried Maggie Moo's, but I'll have too now! I like anything involving chocolate and nuts. I have had the cinnamon icecream with praline pieces from Cold Stone and it was awesome! Last time at Marble Slab I had chocolate icecream with chocolate chips, pecans, and coconut. Yumm, yumm! I always like that combo, but with this pregnancy it has been my ultimate treat! I haven't had breakfast yet, somehow my oatmeal isn't going to taste the same after thinking about all that yummy icecream!

I really like Brewsters too, especially how the kids get those free little cones. They are perfect for my girls. The only downside is that they only have walk up counter service, so forget it in the winter!

I don't know what is wrong with me. My DH loves CS, all of my firends love it, my family loves it, and I just can't get over the fact that I think it's bad ice cream. I mean, if I'm going to pay upwards of 4 bucks for some ice cream, I'd rather go get a hagen daz or some crazy ben and jerry's flavor.

I feel bad, because when we have our girl's night out dinners, CS always comes up, then my friends say "oh, but Bekki doesn't like it!" I can skip dessert, but they also know I have a huge sweet tooth;)

we don't have one here, but we always eat there when we go out to the sf bay area.

Dh and I tried Cold Stone in Vegas last time we were there and we are hooked. We always look for them when we vacation..we don't have one anywhere around here.....boohooo.

I can't even remember what we got but it was fabulous and I don't ever even eat ice cream!

We have one of those. Fortunately, I'm not sure where it is or how to get there;)
