We had good weather this February 26th sailing. It wasn't as great as our past 3 times but acceptable. Key West was very nice for bike riding. Plenty of people on the beach too. Islands were great! Water is always warmer and we got great color although a little overcast at certain times. Sea days were windy so if your skin could handle the coolness - the sun was still out. When we got to Castaway Cay there was rain. We took our towels and went on shore. It did eventually stop raining so we snorkeled. The water was very cool. We snorkeled anyway! Fingers were blue but it was fun just the same.
I like lemonade. Rain is better than snow any time of the year.
We sailed 2/5/05 and temps weren't bad once we left FL (I believe high of 60 something MAYBE on the day we left and WINDY)...temps at St. Martin and St. Thomas were BEAUTIFUL (think mid 80's w/ low humidity). We didn't make it to Castaway Cay due to rough water and we did have waves up to 16 ft. Overall, I would probably do May again instead of February but if the price were right, we would sail in Feb.
Pewing - We are booked on the Wonder Feb 19, 2006 (President's Week). Coming from the north east, any place south is warmer and more enjoyable then Maine!! If we did not cruise we would most likely go to Orlando during our Feb. break. If I was given the choice to spend a week in Orlando or sitting on a cruise ship---I would would pick the cruise hands down every time!! (regardless of the weather!!)
