Coke or Pepsi products on the ship?

I'm afraid to even look at the answer - my dh is such a die-hard Coke drinker, that we don't go to restaurants that serve Pepsi - no matter how much we may like their food! Oh no.... tell me it's Coke!

And never fear ye Pepsi drinkers ... you can bring on sodas when you board (I don't recommend bringing what you can actually get on the ship which is Coke, Diet Coke, Sprite & Dr Pepper) ... so bring your Pepsi, Diet Pepsi, or in my case, Diet 7-up :teeth: and enjoy.

My question: do they look at you funny if you bring your can or 20oz bottle of soda to the dining room (and just ask for a glass of ice)????

Wow you choose a restaurant based on their soda type LOL...I can tell the difference out of bottles or cans but coke and pepsi on tap taste the same to me. I used to only drink coke but since the idiots got rid of 2 liter bottles and went to 1 1/2 liters and charge the same price I won't buy coke again.

I know the OP is thrilled, but I'm part of the Pepsi Geneation. Since we have a mixed-marriage (I love Pepsi, he loves Coke), he will be thrilled!

ACK! Not to me. I can definitely tell the difference--cans, bottles, tap, etc (and, IMO, Coke wins, hands down)

That being said, we won't choose a restaurant based on soda, but if I order Coke and they ask "is Pepsi OK?" I usually end up ordering water instead (unless we're driving and I *really* need the caffiene)

If you're concerned about the lessening volume but charging the same tactic, watch out for the ice cream aisle---many manufacturers have started making 1.75 quart containers (that look like 1/2 gallon containers) and they also kept the price the same.

Ha!:p My DH is the same way with Pepsi. If we go somewhere Coke is served, he'll ALWAYS get iced tea (at least we can still GO there!):hyper:

Well.... I too have a mixed marriage... I'm a Coke drinker and DW drinks Pepsi....

I always have Shirley (Perfect Gift) put a 6 pack of bottles for her in the gift baskets I get. Don't have to worry about a grocery stop... or more carry-ons.

DW has taken her bottle of Pepsi - to breakfast... (neither of us drink coffee) - and it didn't raise any eyebrows.... except from the Pepsi drinkers looking longingly at it....

I'm the same way, though sometimes I'll do sweet tea instead. Unless I'm at WDW where sweet tea is generally not served.

Virgil, I have this weird picture in my head of every Pepsi drinker in the room stopping what they're doing as your DW enters the room with her Pepsi.... :)

Sweet Tea?? Is that hot tea with extra sugar or iced tea with extra sugar? I have never heard of sweet tea

You are not alone! My DH is a die hard COKE Drinker! He would write a letter to the top if Disney ever change to Pepsi!! He would not dine in a resturant that serves Pepsi.
Me, my fav is Coke, but i would drink Pepsi, if i have to. Like others have said, you are free to bring cans of soda on board.

Yankees! <sheesh> :)

Sweet tea is pre-sweetened ice tea. For it to be proper sweet tea, it has to be sweetened while it's still warm. Sweeting cold tea, at the table, just won't do!

It's a southern thing. It's iced tea that is super saturated with sugar. I like it, as do my kids, but dh says it's "sickening sweet" (as if there is such a thing ;)

In GA once my dh ordered a "regular tea" and the waitress, with her southern drawl, said "honey, here in the south sweet tea *IS* regular tea!" :)

Lipton sells a bottled version and I recently bought a jug at our local Wal*mart by Tradewinds. Arizona tea sells it by the jug, but we haven't found that up here in the north. I've also found recipes for it.

A recipe for sweet tea?!? Good gravy... that's a silly as having a recipe for jelly biscuits! :p

Everybody knows to make either sweet tea or biscuits you only need a dash of this and a pinch of that.
